Minor Heart Attacks?
-
it could be very minor.
Iv had shit liek that happen to me, recenly even and I ended up sick shortly after it started,
How ever, as it is the signs of a heart attack, Id atleast consider speaking to someone, you can always call 911, they will come and check you out, it may send your life if its not just some miserable bullshit instead of a heart attack.
I would at least consider the option of calling. -
Well it's not me. I'm as healthy as a horse according to my last physical with my dr. (a week ago). But since I'm not a doctor I don't feel comfortable diagnosing and feel even more odd telling people yeah go to the doctor if it's something as simple as heartburn...you know i didn't think about this until just not but..could it be a gall bladder problem?
-
I was thinking more along the heartburn and shit, give them a tums, if it doesnt fix it nearly instantly, call 911, at worst ya look stupid, at best you save someones life
-
Okay, I let him know. He says he's going to the doctor. :-)
-
do I know who he is? never mind doesnt matterbut if it is him, or anyone in the same boat, no money no insurance, all that 911 would be faster and cheaper. first off if it is a heart attack every second counts, and number two an ambulance can get there faster than you can ge to a hospital. plus if they come and say heartburn fuck off your vitals are all good its not a heart attack, then there is no charge, if your transported there is, but if they believe it is a heart attack transport is the least of his worries and money doesnt matter anymore, let em transport and worry about how to pay it later

Why would heartburn cause dizziness and numbness in the arm?Could be Angina Pectoris. My dad just got diagnosed with Aortic Valve Stenosis(narrowing) and needs to plan on valve replacement in the near future. He was getting dizzy spells and tight constricting shortness of breath when he was playing tennis. He didn't have pain though.
-
dunno but Iv had it, when it did it it only did it when I breathed in, so long as I held my brath no numbness or dizzy shit, soon asI breathed in it would hit me with each breath.its nto too common I dont think and it lasted for days on me because I didnt know what it was and didnt want to see a doctor. the fact that dizzy and numb isnt a common thing makes it more important to see a medical pro faster than driving to an ER or making an appointment.
-
I'm not denying what you felt but...heartburn... numbness .. doesn't make sense..
I deal with heartburn almost daily.. You know what works wonders for IMMEDIATE relief? Baking soda. 1/2 teaspoon in the front of your mouth and gulp it down with plenty of water.
-
it was long ago that it happened, atleast the case that lastd for days, and I dont think it actually hurt my arm? but tha burning when i inhaled, it made everything hurt and I was breathing shallow, I think thats what lead to dizzy is not egtting enough oxygen in each breath. The one the other night lasted a few minutes, and I was rather intoxicated walking up the stairs and it hit me and was gone in maybe 2 minutes, didnt stick around long enough to really fuck with it and figure out all the shit that was going on and well fuck man, I was high, my brain does not exactly work right when Im baked.
-
My first thought was angina as well.Grvty - No, I don't believe it's who you're thinking of. That chapter of my life is closed. But this guy is stubborn...he refuses to leave work. >: ( But he did say he would take some tums. I'm keeping tabs on him though. I will keep you updated.
-
I thought that chapter was over with, but its been a while since I talked to him, he hasnt been on messenger or anything lately when I have so I wasnt sure that maybe you two didnt work shit out and he was still in Ok with ya.I know jack shit about angina, I mean I know what it is, but I wouldnt dare to think someone was dealing with that over a heart attack, better safe than sorry.

I work in Cardiology and alot of 'heart attack symptoms' are gastro related. Also, like you said, the gall bladder gives off some of those symptoms as well. But, if someone is having any type of chest pain, they should see a doctor as soon as possible.
Heart attacks can vary for people. For example, alot of women who have had heart attacks experience pain in thier backs instead of thier chests.

He will feel much better after he gets the valve. Good luck to him!
-
Thanks. He's going to come out here to San Diego to have it done becasue he has no one except his live-in GF down in Miami. He'll probably do it this summer. The constriction is pretty severe, so he can't put it off too long.. But tennis is over for him for now. At 77 the guy can run and give everyone a run for their money when they play him so it's going to be hard to quit.
