Ok, so I need to brag a little bit. First off, a little background. My son is 9 and has ADHD. We struggled for the past year on whether to medicate or not and then finally decided to do so. At first he was on Adderall. It really was bad for him. He became very emotional and a bit agressive. He would not eat or sleep. I felt terrible for medicating him in the first place. More like a failure. But I was concerned with him being able to comprehend his schoolwork. So I thought I would try one more time. I switched him to Focalin. He has no mood swings, he has his same little personality, but has more focus when it comes to homework and other tasks. He got his report card and has all A's and B's, made the Merit Roll, recieved the Citizenship award, and got a reading award. I am so proud of him and so happy for him. And most importantly HE is so proud of himself. He was so excited to recieve the citizenship award out of any of the awards he got.
