I have this weird thing going on today.I wore contacts for like 12 years. Then about a year ago I got a pair of glasses I really liked so I've been wearing them for a year. Only put in contacts probably about 3-4 times over the past year. But for some reason I decided I wanted to wear my contacts today. And when I put them in, I could see find, but for some reason things that should be square or rectangular look more like trapezoids or something. Like my computer screen or a piece of paper or a book. Instead of looking like * I I *, they look more like * / \ * . The angles aren't that extreme, but kind of like that. Really weird.Anyone else ever gotten that?

Could your contacts have 'warped' or kind of bent in some way? I mean, being that you do not wear them very often.
-
Is it possible to put them on inside out?
-
Yeah, I've put them on inside out on numerous occasions. When you do that, you just basically get blurry vision. And I don't think they can actually "warp" or anything, as long as they are stored in solution.I dunno...really strange.
-
Maybe you put them on upside down.
-
You laugh (or post a smiley face), but that's actually possible!
I have horrible astigmatism, so I have to wear toric lenses. They actually have a top and a bottom (kind of like 'Brokeback Mountain' :open_mouth:).
But fortunately, you just throw 'em in and blink a few times and they settle in.I may open a new pair and see what happens.
-
I never knew that... I always thought they were only symetrical.
-
Single vision lenses are.Toric lenses, designed for astigmatism, aren't. They're custom made to fit the unique warped shape of the eye.Fascinating actually.

they can warp.you said open a new pair so I have to assume your wearing disopsables. my first pair were hard and after time the protien built up and they did warp. soft ones dont do that and disposables are never around long enough to face that problem if it were possible.thank god for disposables, only way to go. of oure iM currently out of em and uhh I got no glasses that are current any more and uhhh, wel lets just say its not good for me to drive at night right now
