New Pot study
-
Yeah I saw that on Yahoo. Every few years the government concocts another bullshit study to sway kids from smoking and questioning their attentions. They want us to be good little Americans who vote for George W. Bush, go to church, and support the "liberation" of Iraq.
-
If you were actually paying attention, you would notice that this study was NOT conducted by the government and NOT EVEN conducted in the USA. It was conducted by a university in Greece. And the findings were corroborated by a study at Harvard. You can spend the rest of your life attempting to discredit research because you don't like the findings, but that doesn't change the findings. Maybe the next study that needs to be done is a possible correlation between marijuana use and being totally unteachable.
-
He probably didnt even read it. He's so set in his thinking, and automatically assumes things.Either way, It was a good article.
-
Greece is a U.S. ally. The U.S. intimidates smaller European allies into doing their dirty work, like Iraq.
-
You all assume everyone's body is exactly the same and every chemical has the same effect on one person as on anyone else. Some people might smoke and act like giddy little girls, others just fall asleep, some like to do arts and crafts, and maybe a tiny few, like 1% might actually fit these studies. No one really knows I smoke, drink, or do anything else until I tell them. I don't even look like a "stoner" to most people, if all this shit were true then wouldn't it be more obvious?
-
This talks about memory loss you dumb ass, unless you put a sticker on your shirt saying "Im a pothead" no one will know.
-
Well shit you certainly would realize if someone had Alzheimers, correct? Well if someone had memory loss you should be able to tells sooner or later, you know if they were all spacy and stupid?
-
Thats funny because a Canadian study showed that lab rats had a memory increase due to excessive THC, true study.
-
Im not trying to say pot is good for you but it could also be from other drugs and beer and stuff.
-
In reply to:You can spend the rest of your life attempting to discredit research because you don't like the findings, but that doesn't change the findings. Zevon said it better when he said:"All alone on the road to perfection At the inspection booth they tried to discourage me You can believe what you want--that'll never change it You'll have to come around eventually "

And Warren should know.He was the Walrus...er...I mean the Werewolf.
-
o god here we go again. smooth move java!
-
well he saw a werewolf with a chinese menu in his hand, walkin thru the streets of so ho in the rainand he saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at trader vicsI can not recall himself ever being a werewolf though
-
I doubt pot helps in any way but if definitely doesn't hurt.
-
Speaking of Warren Zevon...Did Elvis Costello write 'A Good Year For the Roses', or did someone else do it first? Seems like I heard an old country artist do it recently.
-
George Jones, was that old country fuck who did it
-
I agree with your .Who did it first?
-
Years ago someone told me "Pot is no more harmful than alcohol". Well they obviously didn't know anything about alcohol. Pot is 5 times more carcinogenic than tobacco. One ounce of alcohol will diminish short term memory for a significant period. Years ago I had to do some serious memorizing and quickly realized that I had to foregoe my afterwork drink if I was to memorize anything. I'm not going to get into a flame war with anybody about the merits or evils of one or the other. Teens don't need to be doing either.
-
I assume Jones but as I started trying to dig into that I found counting crowns and lorrie morgan and a ton of people that have recorded that song, so many damned people in fact ath Im not sure who recorded it or wrote it at this point....
I think Jerry Chesnut wrote it I dont know that he ever recorded it though. I do know that Costello did it as a cover song so even if it was not Jones that did it first it still was not Elvis's songf but Im having a hard time find out whos song it is or atleast was for the first time it was recorded
