How long till your out of the house? If my parents knew i didn't believe in their god, they would disown me. I say just wait till you get older to actually do anything with your religion, in the mean time read up on it with the internet.

I wouldnt suggest you disobey your mothers wishes. Do as you please though, just not in her house.

Hello Maegan,I'm sorry you’re having so many problems at home. I understand your religion and I can understand your mom’s feelings about it too. I was raised catholic but have a very good friend who is Wiccan. I think the best person on this board to help you will be our long time loved member, Angelwitch. Not only is she a mother of three, she still finds the time to dedicate to her craft. Hang tight, I’m sure she will help you out. I’ll send her a private message asking her to read your post...She’s good.

what is wiccan?

Like being a witch isnt it?

wiccan is a belife about the earth, nature, and suff like that.not all wiccans have to be a witch, however i do practise the craft.wiccan's (at least not me) dont believe in one specific god like it says in the bible.there are different gods and godesses and we follow the three fold law.if you want to know more about it just type in "what is wicca" on google and it will give you a lot of different answers.Roc-thanks for contacting AngleWitch. I'm one of her friends on myspace, and knew she was a witch, but i didnt want to talk to her b.c i was a knid of embarassed.but it helps to know that people except her even though she is a witch.Im only 14 so I have atleast 4 more years until I can move out.THANKS EVERYBODY!

are you absolutely postive it's not a phase?I'm not doubting your or anything I just seem to notice that when i grew up everyone in my area seemed to go through a Wicca phase (even myself at one point) but then as the tide comes... it went! My advice is to explore everything you can about everything. Wicca, your moms religion, heck even other religions. Most of them have the same goal in mind and that seems to be peace and harmony. Explain to your mom that what your choosing to do isn't necessarily evil and that you don't think her religion is wrong or dumb. Just ask her to respect your beliefs and not let hollywood butcher and misguide her ideas of Wicca.I'm a Christian myself and I absolutely hate it when I see my fellow Christian berating others and holding themselves higher then other just because they have a different belief. I have friends from all walks of life, Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Wiccan, and I'm familiar with other lesser known religions. They are all very similiar and every moderate person I've met has been an excellent spokesperson for their religion. It's the fanatics ya wanna avoid, but are often the ones given the most attention.Good Luck with everything!
