Okay, i cut myself for about a year, but i stopped several months ago.....and i don't know know how, but my mom found out just recently....i think it was because i always wear long sleeved shirts....but i'm not sure. But, she confronted me about it today and she said she's already made me an appointment with a psychologist and i kept telling her that i quit cutting a long time ago, but she's making me go anyway. Can anyone tell me what it's like to see a psychologist, because i really don't want to go, and i kinda want to know what to expect. thanks

Going to a psychologist?

It might help... If you really did stop and you have gotten better, be sure to tell the guy/girl when you get there, but be sure to just talk for a while, make them feel like they did a good job on you, and you should be good. I'm gonna see some person in a week or so, and I don't know if it will help... My.. whatever will go away soon.

My friend goes to one...she used to cut herself too, but she does/did (I'm not sure anymore) drugs/drinks/smokes/gets into trouble at school and it doesn't make that much difference.I think that it's good you've stopped, and I understand its a lot harder than people thing. Going to a psychologist will probably just make sure you never do it again, and help you to understand why you did in the first place...Remember that ur mom has only done this because she's worried about you.
