If someone is going on a plane trip to another place and they're paying for their ticket should they have to pay extra money for fuel? That just seems awkward. It's like... paying a taxi to take you somewhere and him asking for more money for the gas... I'm just saying/wondering you know.
-
Does this make sense?
-
that makes no sense.
-
See! So I'm not crazy... thank you.
-
you are welcome
-
Where did that happen?Usually they would just add the cost to the price of the ticket.
-
It's the trip I'm going on to Japan thingy majigger bobber. They were talking about something for fuel and it just seemed a little far-fetched (wow weird word!)
-
It's commonplace. Companies advertise their price, then they have the "fuel surcharge". It's just to make their prices look better.
-
Oh really? The price was pretty ugly and high to begin with! Japan's not that great...
-
Yeah....
Welcome to commercial international flights...
These days even some of the domestic flights have fuel surcharges. Hell you even have to pay for your food and beverage these days... Wait until you get stuck paying airport landing tax.... -
Ah! You know... staying in New York for the rest of my life doesn't seem such a bad idea right now.
-
US have THE worst airlines in the world. I'd fly Singapore Airlines anyday.
-
I wouldn't say “The USA has THE worst airlines in the world". Obviously you have never flown on foreign airlines in a third world country…Scary….. Scary…… Scary!
-
you mean like where a crash landing is called a succesful landing attempt.
-
It's normal now for there to be extra charges for fuel. What I find very bad is that they are usually here not included in the advertised price. I think that's false advertising. If you're going to another country there may also be arrivals tax or departure tax that is not included in the ticket price and has to be paid at the airport.
