Recently I have got some weights. I wanted to build up a bigger physique. I plan to work out for 2hrs every weekend.I hold quite a skinny, athletic physique without doing anything at 17yrs old and weighing 10 stone. Do you think I could build a well-built physique if I stuck to my weekend routine or would I need to do it more? Also what things would you say would build me up, like eating certain amounts of food and exercises?I want to get to 12 stone.

Getting some more muscles!

One thing to note... you want to build up endurance also. Doing weights until you can't lift anymore is fine, but you want to start of light. Do test weights, to determine what is comfortable for you to lift repeatidly...then knock like 5 pounds off that total. You will lift weights longer and your muscles will get used to longer routines and will accomidate for your real muscle group.Remember, if your muscles have a dull ache at the end or next day then your doing it right, because for muscles to grow they need to tear apart (not completly)then regrow...tahts were protein comes in handy as its the building block for muscles.

Monday, Wednesday, Friday.Start off light. Keep track of your sets, reps, and weight being used for each lifting excercise.I like staying at the same exact weight all the time and increasing my reps. That way my muscles show off more and I keep the advantage of quickness. Doing this won't make you as strong as increasing the weight lifted though.

Right. So far I've been doing an hours exercise each night. And although it is very tiring! I know I've done a good amount and my body let's me know this!Currently I do 35 reps on each weight on each arm. Then I go over again and do it on each arm in differen't positions. I'm not sure if this is enough really. I have seen a small increase in muscle already. But I'm starting to wonder if actually changing my diet will speed up the process. Please post your thoughts.

It helps to write down the exercises you do and keep track of the reps instead of memorizing. Following this format of workout has helped me in my workout.Preacher Curls :15 --- 10 --- 5
