Weed
-
go to a NA meeting they will help you, I used meth for 7 years and i am clean today
-
hes 13, i doubt hes hooked on weed.
-
I believe it, my daughter would steel money, sell things, and who knows what else to get some. Its sad.Yes I smoke it too occasionaly, once a week. But I can live without it easily. You need to check out drug councilers or rehab facsilities in your area. Unfortunatly we dont have anything out here to help teens.
-
The thing you have to remember about addictions is that it isn't the drug that is at fault, it's the person who's doing it.A drug is an inaniminate object which lacks the capacity to undertake any action on it's own. You can't blame drugs for what one person did, a lot of people smoke weed and they do fine in life.
-
Weed isn't physically addictive, but it is habitually addictive. Ummmm heroin for instance would be physically addictive. Weed is basically habit forming, like many bad habits people have. Don't get me wrong though, the brain is a powerful thing and can convince pot smokers they need that high. Kids will steal to buy pot sure, hell I use to take my dads money to buy junk food when I was little. If you were to quit smoking cold turkey down the road the most you will have is a bad day because you didn't get high. Your not going to have physical withdrawls. Like I always say, everyone is different and some people are so weak minded they just cant quit smoking weed. Here is an idea, quit smoking weed and everytime you think about getting high take that money and save it for a sick ass car to pick up girls in.
-
Really the best way to quit is start up a hobby, avoid people who smoke up, and/or just work long hours. The only time I even come close to a craving is when I am bored.
-
i know this isnt going to help you, but i cant get weed anywhere!
for me, to get weed, would require a huge arrangement. id have to ask my friend to get some from her friend and wait for weeks, and then find a place to do it. i never get invited to my friends houses because i live far from them and i dont have many friends. i feel like a huge outcast. any advice? -
I'm not sure this is the place to give advice on how and where to obtain illegal substances.
-
yeah, i wasnt thinking. sorry.
-
AfriCA, here is some advice dont use drugs to meet new people. Most of them will just see that you are new to the drug seen and just take advantage of you. Trust me, its been done to me and i have done it to others. PLus drugs will get you no where and make your self esteem even lower. it may seem like a solution to the problem but what about when the solution stops working (and it will)
-
sorry to say but nothing is addicting, mind over matter.if you have a powerful mind, you can stop, and over come any addiction.ive smoked mary j for about 4 years, and i never crave it, or NEED it.i can stop if i want to, or need to.its simple. you just gotta put your mind to it.
-
Nothing is addicting? You are severely misguided.
-
well maybe meth or crack or sumthin..but not mary j.
-
In reply to: i can stop if i want to, or need to Spoken like a true addict.
-
in some areas people go up to 10 year olds if they want to buy some weed.
-
You have a weak mind.I used to smoke pot everyday, high untill bedtime for a month and stopped without even slowing down.. Just stopped.
-
you can never really be "addicted" to weed like you can be addited to crack or something because weed does not create a physical dependency in the person for it. So if you smoke weed for a while and then stop, you may think "omg I need some weed. I need that high. I wish I had some...", but all that is is a mental WANT for it. If you are addicted to Heroin for example however, you have a physical dependancy for it. That means YOUR BODY will actually not be able to function correctly without the substance. You may get really sweaty, not be able to think properly, have seizures or whatever. So a "weed addiction" can really be overcome by mind over matter if you want to know the truth. And also, I highly doubt a 13 year old could be addicted to any drug. He probably smokes it every week or something and then one day he doesnt have it, he feels like he wants it...that is NOT an addiction! That is just a want that can be overcome.

I was offered weed before. I was tempted to take it. I thought about the danger of it, and decided not to take it. Maybe you could do the same. Find out the bad stuff about it, then you might be able to stop. I found this a good site to teach you about bad drugs. www.abovetheinfluence.com Good luck

If by "addicted" (in quotes) you mean physically addictive, that may be true, but people can become "dependant" on all kinds of things: marijuana, gambling, etc. For some people, the way their brain is put together (according to recent research) makes it more likely that they will become dependent on certain behaviors and substances. In other words, there are people who would be better off never having picked up a joint or a gambling chip, and throwing around words like "weak mind" (CockRocker) is not constructive and not even smart.> I highly doubt a 13 year old could be addicted to any drug. That is completely absurd. A person of any age can become physically addicted to drugs. You don't think that a five year old, given crystal meth for a while, wouldn't become addicted?
