Breast Cancer Awareness Month

No, I do not check myself. I know I probably should, I just do not. The doctor checks me when I go for my yearly pap.

That is what I do. I don't check myself either. The doctor does.

My grandma found a lump just months after her docs visit.she let it go and let it go and let it go until her next appointment.had she gone in a simple procedure may well fo ended it right there, instead it had gotten bigger and spread to her lymph system and took over her body in the months since its find till the time that she saw the Doc.She would of given anything to go back to when she found it and go then to the doc, the money spent on the treatments and visits that followed, the removal of her breasts, the chemo, the two year battle that ended April 14, 1981 in her death.it all started between visits, a year is too long to wait for one check to the next. I lost her when I was 10 days from being ten years old, i think about it every year, its an impossible date to forget for me, 10 days, ten years old...... DOnt wiat 12 months between, do the fucking checks at home, follow up with the doc. Ever watched someone die slow and shitty like that? its a miserable existance, a horrid shitty fucking existance that takes its toll on everyone long before the victem actually dies. by that time, its nearly a relife to have them gone.

It does not always happen like that Chance. My girfriends mom had a mammogram that came back perfectly normal. Three months later, she found a lump. She made an appointment (that she could not get for another month) as soon as she found it. By the time all the testing and bs was done the lump was the size of an orange. She had chemo, both breasts removed, and ended up dead within that same year. Very sad.

all the more reason to not wait a year between checks of your boobage, check em at home rather then waiting for your yearly visit to the doc.fit may of kiled her quiker then my grandma, but the results the same an only further illistrates my point of not waiting 12 montsh for a cleavage squeeze

I don't think about it, is the reason I don't check myself. But I have heard a good way to make sure you check yourself is to do it when you get your period, to check your boobs for lumps. But that is something I just don't think of. Maybe I should start.
