I am 15 and hate my body. I want to be thinner. I am 5'11" and am 14stone (196 lbs). I go to the gym 2hrs a week and that is al lthe exercise i do :frowning: i do eat healthily and am very conscious about what i eat. What else can i do exercise and food wise?
Aww bud, cheer up. I dislike my body too but whaddaya gonna do? If you already eat healthy, a major tip I can give is when you go to places you normally drive to, walk. Instead of taking a bus to and from school walk there. Jog a little. Get a friend to go with you or listen to some music. Curl ups are good but quite painful. Or you could even try getting into an active sport. Soccer and dance keep me looking the way I do. Maybe you could get into a sport like basketball since you sound pretty tall. Football is a little dangerous. Maybe baseball or even soccer if that's what you like. Whatever you do, make sure you're having fun or else you'll hate it.And if you have insecurity problems, guys always look better with some meat on their bones. There's nothing attractive about skin and bones. And don't put yourself down or you're just going to feel worse. Lift yourself up and tell yourself you're hott. Matter of fact, you should just be like "damn I'm fine!" It may sound silly but it works and helps the process.

Being happy with your body is crucial and yet i know how hard it is when the emphasis of beauty/handsomeness is portrayed as thin and or muscular , this isn't always the case , I know its not easy, but i can't commend you enough for actually making the effort to change a lifestyle . Losing weight isn't easy and its not overnight it takes a Looongg time.Please be happy with your body because the person you are and the personality which you are given , far outweighs the shell that you are in.Here are just a few tips that helped me lose some weight I am not sure whether you know these or not although i hope they help ...Eating:Instead of eating 3 large meals a day eat more frequently but in smaller portions, also avoid carbonated (fizzy) drinks wherever possible the sugar content is out of this world!!!I know for me when i tried losing weight my biggest weakness was chocolate , instead of cutting it out altogether have 1 or 2 squares of Very Dark Chocolate everyday it stops cravings and is also far healthier and lower in fat than regular chocolate not to mention its more filling.Another tip is to eat plenty of fish , which is high in fiber and low in fat.I have no clue whether there is a myth or not so if anyone wants to go and investigate and prove me wrong they are very welcome , however in Asia women believe that drinking warm or hot water is a good way to lose weight because when drinking ice cold water slows your metabolism where as warm or hot water speeds it up.Exercise:Do a mix of both cardiovascular exercises (such as running) and weight training the cardiovascular burns the fat while the weights will help to train up the muscles in those "problem areas"Also why not try walking /jogging everyday for 20 minutes i know it doesn't seem like much but you will be marveled at the results ! A little bit of exercise everyday is far more beneficial than lumps of exercise irregularly. Also its important to start activities you can keep up over a longer period of time because once you stop an intense fitness program it is all to easy to regain the weight that you got off.Sorry its so long , i hope that his helped.
