Yes you men, boys, males, guys, gentlemen, hombres, muchachos, etc. Why do you run away at the mention of love? It's like "oh I love you Kelly" "oh I love you too Ryan" and the guy runs away. Are you guys repelled from love. It's like it's ok for you to hug, kiss, and have sex with the girl but the minute she says "I love you" you jet! You're off catching the next plane to Timbuktu. What's wrong with the L word? What? Is there some curse associated with that word. Ok before I'm blasted I just want you to know I'm being sarcastic. Ok? Don't get all diplomatic on me. But I just find a pattern of guys that run away the moment they hear their gf say I love you. Not every guy of course. But there's a good amount of them who practically come with a sign attached to them saying "I'm allergic to the L word". It's like "holy crap she said I love you! time to go." just why?

What is wrong with you males?
-
Guys have to rip away from friends and partying, just for a chance to get action. Men first fall in love with the sex, then grow into loving women. Women seem to do the opposite, they first want love before sex. OOOPS...Said Way To Much!!!
-
wha? you just confused me even more! thanks alot! lol no really what?
-
Men and women are just different, trying to be the same.
-
but that doesn't explain why so many guys run away at the mention of the L word.
-
Men are "programmed" to "spread the seed". The statement "I love you" is a sign of commitment, and a lot of guys aren't ready to commit to that until they've settled down. But, like you said, there are some guys who are looking for the L word. haha.
-
interesting. yeah I gotcha. but it's still confusing because you can mean I love you like I really love you and they'll get scared and run without saying why or you can mean I love you in a friendly or sisterly way and they take it as in lets get married before graduating high school. humans...

Miscommunication. There's a lack of understanding when the words were exchanged. Seldom do females clarify what they say as being platonic or romantic, so then guys get confused.
Most guys, especially the younger variety, are scared of commitment. A lot of younger guys want to experience many females before they settle with one.
"I love you" also opens up a hole in a guy's world. A vulnerability. Guys don't like being vulnerable.

You'll find as boys turn into men they accept the love word more easily. As a man becomes older he wants that sense of security and balance in his life. The boys your age, well the L word can scare them simply because they are so young. They like to feel free without restrictions.Hope that helps some.

I was the first to say "I love you" in my relationship. I'm not afraid of the words or the feelings, I am just so happy that I am in love and that I'm loved in return.
-
Neither am i, i still love my very first girlfriend from grade 6
-
ya bite me abi i love love ok i say it to my girlfriend more than i do my family except my sister but yeah, otherwise its prety much been answered
-
i dont even know where she got this bullshit, thats a stereotype.
-
i have known guys who were like this. so scared of commitment and the "L" word, so she isn't wrong.
-
yea, i never have some show the to me with proof.
-
there are two kinds of guys on this: (this is partly joking and sarcastic so dont yell at me for generalizing) The ones that say i love you to often and much, and the ones that dont say it at all. the ones that say it to much are the ones that dont know what it is, and ones that dont say it are the ones that mean it when they do.
-
some may say it to get in girls' pants though
-
who in their right mind would go to bed because someone said i love you?
-
I have heard it before, not personally, but on TV and a song by Meatloaf, I think, lol. And I think by other people I have known. If a guy wants in a girls pants bad enough, and knows that that is a way to do it, he would probably do it.

HOW THE HELL COULD YOU SAY THAT YOU INSENSITIVE BEEP HOLE!!!! jk i dont say it to often i dont say it at the beginning middle and end of every conversation just when i feel its right
