I am 17 years old and i never had sex before. I have red bumps on the lower shaft of my penis and covering my testicles. I have had them for for as long as i could remeber. they dont hurt or ich or anything like that. they look like a bunch of pimples but they most have hair coming of of them. Except for the shaft, ive never tried to pop them or anything, but they wont go away. ive been just waitin to see if there is a diff but there is none.

Hey welcome to A2A.Well if the bumbs have been there for awhile, and there hasn't been any change yet, there's no reason for them to change now.even tho they don't hurt,i'd say see a doc.if you could get any pics to show us,that could help us try to find out wats up

The bumps are caused by sebaceous glands, which normally sit at the bottom of hair follicles where these exist, and can also be by themselves. They are usually buried in the skin, but the skin is thinner on the genitalia and they often become noticeable when they get bigger at puberty. They are normal.

I have these similar bumps, but mine are not red. They are the natural skin color. I have tried popping them and a white substance comes out, like a pimple but a little different. No it does not look like acne or anything but I’m completely perplexed about this. I'm 17 and have never had sex. Can you lend some insight? If it is what was stated in the previous post, then does it go away? (had it for about as long as i can remember having pubic hair).

Sebaceous glands usually look skin-coloured or whitish. Their purpose is to produce sebum, a white greasy cream that acts as a natural moisturiser for the skin. That's the white substance that came out. They are perfectly normal. They get bigger at puberty and often become visible then; they gradually shrink later in middle age.
