Got pregnant at a 11 from a 15 yearold guy (who has now been arrested), just a drunken one-night stand. Shes now 12 and about to give birth. She smoked the whole time through the pregnancy (afterall shes been smoking openly since she was 9 so why stop now?). Social workers tried to convince her to have an abortion but her mother is "proud" of her for deciding to keep the baby.

**i HATE to read stories like this........I feel SO sorry for the baby.......how can a child bring up another child, and what the hell is the mother got to be proud of, a child who smokes, drinks and has sex by the time shes 12.....whoohooo *shakes head* i would be SO ashamed of myself as a parent. **

My thoughts exactly. Its disgusting how happy they appear to be over the situation. Part of the problem stems from that this young girl (an her mother) are being showered with attention...aswell as recieving a load of tax payers money and getting to have lots of time off school. Utterly rediculous situation.

Why did the guy get arrested? Your laws are weired.
-
He was arrested because he had sex with an 11 year old girl. That is statutory rape. No matter how old you are, if you have sex with someone younger than the age of consent, its rape. And if both are underage, the guy will always be the one prosecuted.
He was quite a bit older than her, which is very touchy when it comes to teens. He should have had a lot more sense than to do it with a little girl.
-
No, Its statutory rape if he was 16 or older and she was under 16.
-
Doesn't make it any less appalling.
-
Ever heard of Universal Law. No? perhaps it was created after World War 2. No?
-
ok so even if both parties were under the age of consent and they were the exact same age (i know improbable) OR the girl was older only the guy would be prosecuted?
-
Its statutory rape if one or both parties are under the age of consent. The older party will be the one that will get in trouble, but if both are pretty much the same age, it will be the guy who gets in trouble. Yes, its unfair and seems stupid, but it is the law. Edit: Woah, I answered Dantek's question and I didn't know you even asked it!
-
Its a universal law, was created after wwII to keep human rights and freedoms and to help save childer. get it?
-
oo ok ya thats bullshit, neither should be prosecuted or atleast not just the guy maybe they should play rock paper scissors or something(no not serious) (and i mean if theyre pretty much the same age not if the guys 15 and the girls 11)
-
OK, HERE is the laws of Universal Government. Please find the Section devoted to Statutory Rape and give us a quote.
-
You should've pay attention in school. The thing was invented by a Canadian though

That's completely appalling! What does the mother have to be proud of? Her baby is having a baby (not to mention all the other crap she's doing)... she's barely 12! I would be very ashamed as a parent if I was that woman. Besides, babies should not be having babies! I know it takes two to tango as they say, but I think that young man should have known better than to have sex with a child! She was only 11 for Christ's sakes and him being 15, he should have known better than that! growls Things like this get all over me! It makes me so angry and truely makes me believe that some people should not be allowed to breed...

Thats no were even close of being it. Just stop, its a sad day when people dont know this.
-
It has more articeles than that
-
Damn, my little ploy didn't work. But none the less, please actually come up with some proof of your argument.OK, now you've made me do actual research into this. Damn you! In the UK the age at which girls can lawfully have sex is 16, but there are extra rules applying to the under-13s.The law presumes that when a girl is under 13 she is not mature enough to consent to sex. So even if a 12-year-old girl willingly has intercourse, as far as the law is concerned, she has not "consented" to it because legally she is not able to.(This concept is similar to the age of criminal intent, which assumes that children under 10 cannot commit crimes because they do not understand what crimes are.)The implication of the rule is that anyone who has sex with a girl under 13 is committing what is termed "statutory rape". There is no defence to this charge - even if a boy says the girl was willing or that he thought she was older than she was, it would not matter. Thank you BBC.

Now you got it, here have half of my cookie

He shoudn't have been actually arrested cause he under 16, he was supposed to be detained? isnt that how we do it in here?
