4 weeks ago i broke my pinky, i went to a hand surgeon and he gave me a splint, i wore it for 2 weeks than i took it off. My finger is still puffed up since then, he said it would be this way for the rest of my life. is this true? breaking fingers is very common yet i have never seen anyone with dramatic swelling as mine.here are some pictures (of finger)http://img113.imageshack.us/img113/9896/picture0152lq.jpghttp://img128.imageshack.us/img128/2852/picture0162be.jpghttp://img113.imageshack.us/img113/8374/picture0171sq.jpg
i appreciate your advise, im going to another doctor just to see if he can give me a different opinon
I'm more concerned about the angle than the swelling. You certainly should take it back to a doctor.
my mum broke her pinky afue years back...
she did have an operation 2 fix it tho ( which they kinda fucked up and now she cant move it much) and the 1st doctor she went 2 just put it in a splint, but the next 1 said she DEFINATLY needed an operation.
and i agree that the weird angel of ur finger would b a bigger consern that it being a bit swollen.
"So I wake in the morning and I step outsideAnd I take deep breath and I get real highAnd I scream from the top of my lungsWhat's...
The doc fucked up by not setting your pinky bone. Any one can see that it is curved and should be straightened or set in place. Being so out of place accounts for the extra swelling.
