Eat healthy, drink lots of water.

water makes me gain weight i know it sounds crazy but its true
-
your body needs water..it doesn't make you gain weight

If you show an overall weight gain because of water, then that means you are dehydrated most of the time and that is unhealthy. If you drink too much water you'll just urinate more often. You need to stay well hydrated for your body to function properly. Water will not cause you to put on fat, trust me.

i don't see a change in my body my weight just goes up

Losing weight is a mix of good diet and exercise. Try to eat lean meats, such as seafood, grilled chicken breast, and turkey. Replace sodas with water, and replace french fries with baked patatoes. For the exercise part, try doing alot of cardio. Running, swimming, hiking, etc.. Make sure you get in atleast 30 minutes of cardio a day, get a good sweat going, thats when you know your working. The whole idea behind weight loss is to burn off more calories than you consume, so by limiting your meals to small lean portions, and exercising more, you've got it in the bag.

water contains no calories or fat, you can't gain weight from it
-
well how do you explain what happions to me could i be retaining it?

So what do you drink? Sodas, gatoraids? Trust me, nothing can replace water, it has no calories, no sodium, and no chemicals. Any weight you possibly gain from water will be pissed or sweated out of your body. The only explanation I can give you, is that you are dehydrated and so your body is retaining what water you put in it.

I think he just means his weight goes up from increased fluids in his body.To the original poster, yes, your are just retaining more fluids. That is a good thing. You need plenty of fluids to stay healthy. You are not at risk of overhydrating unless you're drinking A LOT of water. A good way to judge it is how often you urinate. Many people say to look at the color of your urine, but this is a poor indicator because your intake of protein (and the amount of protein your body uses) is just as great a factor in the production of the yellowish urea you see dissolved in your urine. What time of day do you weigh yourself? I hope you're not telling us that your weight changes from before you drink water to right after you drink water, because obviously anything you've consumed (without excreting anything) will add weight. Pick a time of day to weigh yourself. The morning before you eat is usually best.
