I'm fifteen and I masterbate. The only thing I worry about though is if I can obtain any deseases like Herpes? If anyoe ca tell me the answer I would feel sooooooo much better thanks!

Question about it?
-
Pretty simply put, you cannot get herpes from masturbating. You can only get an STD from another person who is infected.
-
If he would of asked that question, "When I masturbate with saliva can I get genital herpes" Than I would have given a different answer. His question was masturbating in general if he could get herpes, which you cannot.
But if he uses saliva and he has oral herpes than of course he could contact genital herpes.
-
OK, so you can't get herpes by masturbation if you don't already have it, but you can spread it from one part of your body to another.
I expect that using your own saliva for masturbation is still a lot less risky than receiving oral sex from another person.
-
100% agreed!
-
are we sure about that?I mean it makes sense, but I had been led to belive that the two were different types of the same virus and that having oral herps didnt translate to haveing genital herps just cos ya spit on your dick. Are they not different viruses that cause each ? If I had more time Id research it myself, but I have sht to get finished today, it shall have to wait.
-
No they are the same virus just effecting different areas of the body.

Another recent thread on the same topic: For those who masturbate with saliva . . .

Long lost SteveA, welcome back

No they are the same virus just effecting different areas of the body. Oral and genital herpes are not the same virus: HSV-1 causes oral herpes and HSV-2 causes genital herpes. However, it's possible for oral herpes to infect the genitals and vice-versa, although the virus is not as hardy when it's not growing in its "native" area.Article from Herpes.com: The Truth about HSV-1 and HSV-2

And this is why I missed you !even when you dont agfree with shti people say, you always know where to go to get some research to support your ideas on it.and so fucking fast too!I was sure they were differetnt viruses, or atleast had always been told they were. I had no idea where to go looking to find out the answers now that it had been brought up thoughhow do you do it? more importantly, how do you do it so damned fast? I cna search for days on somethign and not find exactl what Im looking for, or somethign that contradicts exactly what I was thinking. You have a marvelous talent for knowing what parameters to type in fofr a given search.

Thanks. Google is my middle name (my parents were very perspicacious).
I just googled hsv i, and the third result looked good.

The reason why I ask is because for about a week I had this full body reash forming all over my body. I dont know if its from allergies or not, but I think it happens after I masterbate. I dont do anything else besides just normal masterbation. So I was researching and noticed that you develop a rash when you have herpes. So again I started jumping to conclusions. Could the rash be forming maybe from overmasterbation? Like my penis is just exhausted and my body it breaking out? Has this happened to anyone before? Thanks for the replies.
-
I doubt this is from masturbation.Have you changed body-washes/soaps? Using new laundry detergents?
-
Are you using anything as a lube that might cause an allergic reaction (although I'd think the rash would only be around the penis)? Have you had hives before? Is the rash like hives? How long does it last? Is it itchy? All kinds of stress can cause you to break out.
-
Its hive-like yes, and its on and off. It can be very itchy at times and not be so itchy later on. I have had hives before. Since I can remember this has been going on since friday.
I am feeling much better the more you all seem not to be familier with this linking to masterbation. Thanks.
-
Like I said, stress can trigger a hives attack. It may be that the stress of masturbation is a trigger for you.
