How to get higher rank on afraidtoask.com
-
No, it's based on the number of posts you make, period. If you have 22 post after five years, you will still be a junior member. For more info, click on the "FAQ" button at the top, then find What are these titles about? (not sure if the numbers are up-to-date).However, the mods (or admins) can override the title and put in whatever they want. That's why some people have non-standard titles.

If you're really fast, you can become a veteran in one day. If you make a post a day for enough years, you will also be a veteran. You can stick around forever and not post, and you'll remain a junior member. The title is strictly a function of number of posts, and not of time or anything else (other than an admin's whim).
You could say that it's also a requirement that you stay alive, otherwise you won't be able to post any more. Unless you're reincarnated.
Is that pedantic enough?

There are definitions of "pedantic" that are even more negative than that.Consider yourself hugged.

I checked, and the numbers in the FAQ correspond with the numbers on the system.
-
Ha, you're more pedantic than I am! And that's why I am so fond of you.

I take that as a great compliment.
