I know this is a little gross, but lately my urine has been smelling very strong. I've always drank a lot of soda, but only this past year has my urine had a strong and sour smell to it. Lately, it will smell that way in the morning, but the rest of the time it was normal. Also, whenever I would pee, it would start to really tickle rather than hurting. If it's not dehydration from drinking too much water then what could it be?

Strong Smelling Urine

im not sure but i think its just u gettting older.i dont know but when i see my friend thats a doctor ill ask him about it

It's much healthier, and better for your hydration, to drink water rather than soda.A low-grade urinary tract infection is a possibility but would need tests to diagnose. Try drinking more water and less soda, and cranberry juice (good against urinary tract infections).

Another vote for more water. If I were you I'd try to eliminate sode from your diet altogether and leave it for occasions only. I did this a while ago (I never drank much anyway) but mixing soda/water 25/75, then 50/50 etc etc. Soon after I couldn't really drink soda as it was just too sweet.I crave water now. It's also a good idea to carry a bottle of water with you - everywhere. In the office, have one by the computer. Sip at it regularly. By the time you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated. I drink lots of water, and my urine is almost colourless/odourless. If I don't drink much water in a day it certainly gets more colour/odour to it.Diet can change the smell/colour substanially also. Has your diet changed? Are you taking any new medications/supplements that coincide with the change to your urine?

cranberry juisce is what I always use when I start having those sort of issues, even tho I drink alot of water, I have the same issue.

wut colour is urin supposed to be?? like i've pee white to dark yellow wut is is supposed to be? im confussed
-
Dark yellow means it's very concentrated and your body is dehydrated - you're not drinking enough water. White means you've been drinking a lot of water (not necessarily too much, but more than your body needs right now).

Urine is meant to be colourless.

No, actually, colourless urine may mean that you're overhydrating yourself and depleting yourself of essential electrolytes like sodium and potassium.Generally, the clearer it is the better. But you don't want it to be colourless.
