My girl is a virgin...well, rather she was a virgin. I've had quite a bit of experience, but she's my first virgin. We've had sex a few times but she still has pain, so I think part of her hymen is still hanging on (she did have some blood after the first time). Is there something on the inside of a virgin that I don't know about?I'm trying to be gentle, but I'm comming to the conclusion I'm just going to have to "push it on through" (I've yet to go all the way in).Any similar experiences you would like to share would be appreciated. I made an appointment for her at an OB/Gyn, but it's six weeks away and we don't want to wait that long to get this resolved! Thanks.

Pangs of Virginity

I completely agree with no1sexpot.I'd say that her hymen is well and truly broken by now, but she's never had anything up there and it's going to be tender for a while. Good lubrication is a must, and I'd try to avoid manufactured goo. If you need this - she's not aroused enough for intercourse anyway and might still be tense in that area.I've found if your partner is happily aroused, they'll be well lubed, and much more relaxed, willing and 'loose' (though I really hate to use that word) in that area. It can make a huge difference. My first parnter and I had this problem for a while. At first I wondered whether she'd ever be pain free, but then we figured she wasn't relaxed enough. She was always listening out for someone or trying to be quiet. Once she was comfortable, lost herself in the moment, and was aroused, it was much more enjoyable.I love loads of foreplay and teasing though so lubrication was never a problem.

And the appointment isn't necessary.Isn't it advisable for a girl to have her first gyno visit (if she hasn't aleady had one) upon becoming sexually active?

Thanks for the responses so far folks...I appreciate it. Lubrication/arrousal is not an issue for her. Being tense definately is part of the problem, though. Perhaps I should have mentioned that I can feel a piece of something wanting to go in "with me" that I think is causing the pain...I just wasn't sure or not if there was something else on the "inside".Yeah, the gyno visit is more of a safety precaution and to help put her at ease.
