okay, im gunna be doing some boxing on monday, i have 2 days to exercise. i havent exercised recently. im okay at punching, but i always overthink my punches and miss, or bend my fist at a weird angle, or fuck up out of overthinking. basically what im asking is,how much should i work out in the next two days? i have no equiptment. i think if i overwork ill tire myself out and punch weakly, and if i dont work out enough ill be just as weak. remember i only have 2 days, help would be much appreciated!-ak

Boxing on monday....need help!!!!

well, my main question is about how much i should do. im having a fight on monday. i want to be on top form. i have one night and one day, to exercise. what im asking is how much is enough to make me as strong and agile as possible? sometimes when i overwork i can barely throw a punch.
-
still, my main concern is the exercise part dude! i want to know if i should exercise beforehand or not. this is really important. please. thanks.
-
yeah. really i just wanna avoid maxing myself out. you think 50 pushups would hurt?
-
you finally decided to go with the lessons eh?good choice. There is not shit to do between now and then.work out orrelax,2 days make no difference.
-
Any difficult exercise within about 5 days of any physical activity is usually a bad idea. You get stronger as your muscles recover from the workout, so by doing exercises so close to a time where you want to be in top form you're only hurting yourself.I'd suggest to ask the guy giving you lessons what he recommends and try to work out what you'll do with him and when you'll do it.

Hi all - I don't see Africa mentioning lessons here at all. He mentioned a 'fight' which would seem to me that he's heading for some kind of street fight.
Two day's worth of training will not improve your fitness at all. You'd only be draining your muscles prior to the activity itself.
You might hone your technique a little though. As I had stated earlier, get a friend and box with them. If you don't have gloves, take turns (round by round) using your partner's extended palms as targets for you to hit. It'll at least improve your aim, though if they could try to slap you here and there it might also improve your agility.
Though, my thoughts are that two days will get you nowhere. You've been watching too much Rocky videos if you think otherwise.

Actually, now that you mention it, it didnt say lessons, it ws jsut read into the thread.more importantly, its now tuesday, how did the boxing go on monday ?
-
to be honest, i assumed i was going to get into a fight. i just wanted to mention it after i got some advice because i knew people would frown upon the idea of giving fighting tips to someone who was gonna misuse them. its a whole other issue though. sorry if i mislead of you, that was wrong of me.
i feel really bad now, im sorry :frowning: the good part is there was no fight
