Going out on a date with a girl
-
I think its nice for the guy to pay personally, that doesn't mean i would expect him to pay all the time by any means, but the first time we went out, it would be nice.
-
Yeah, pay the first time definitely. I'd say go on about three dates before you agree to have her pay for anything and that's only if she offers first. I've never been with a girl who offered to pay for anything until I met the girl I'm with now. It's nice not being broke all the time, but I feel embarrassed when I go get her a drink and bring back her change in front of other people... I feel like she's my mom or something.
-
Pay for her unless she keeps insisting that you don't. Some girls don't like for the guy to pay, some love it. Whatever. I like paying because I was always taught that it was the man's role to pay and it shows respect.

I think Chivarly is dead now.
-
Not in my world. :smirk:

I think its nice, but the girl shouldn't expect him to pay. She should atleast offer first.

Chovanist Becareful the feminist will take your balls and stomp on them!
-
lol. There's a big difference between chivalry and being a chauvinist. In my world, God is king, my girl is queen, and I'm a knight that serves both. But I'm the one who chooses the queen.
-
Thats what i though too. But after i said that, i was called a sexist, i guess in this world we cannot serve anyone

Becareful the feminist will take your balls and stomp on them! This reminds me of the poster the other day who was telling us what blacks and hispnics were all about. So your balls are stomped if you don't pay? Cool. I'm buying.
-
I know I'm a sexist. Women do it better.
-
Oh, I hate it when a guy pays for me... I just feel bad. But I always except the fact that he will do it on the first date (even though I offer to pay for myself... he just pays anyways). And chivalry is cute, as long as it's not taken too far.
-
Oh man I would take a bullet for a dame. I do anything for girls it's kind of sick, I could be called feminist in some ways. I do jack shit for guys though. My view of being a gentleman is paying for the meals.
-
Really. Well, I pay for stuff, open doors, car door, etc. I don't pull out the girl's chair most of the time.
-
That's exactly what i do and i get called a sexist! This world is screwd up! I guess being nice is not an option. In reply to:n her book A Fearful Freedom: Women's Flight from Equality, Wendy Kaminer identifies another conflict between forms of feminism, the conflict between what she calls "egalitarian" and "protectionist" feminism. In her characterization, egalitarian feminists focus on promoting equality between women and men, and giving women and men equal rights. Protectionist feminists prefer to focus on legal protections for women, such as employment laws that specially protect female workers and divorce laws that seem to favor women, sometimes advocating restricting rights for men, such as free speech (specifically, the right to produce and consume pornography). Though the book predates third-wave feminism, Kaminer identifies both protectionist and egalitarian currents within first-wave feminism and second-wave feminism. Some radical feminists, such as Mary Daly, Charlotte Bunch, and Marilyn Frye, have advocated separatism—a complete separation of male and female in society and culture—while others question not only the relationship between men and women, but the very meaning of "man" and "woman" as well (see Queer theory). Some argue that gender roles, gender identity, and sexuality are themselves social constructs (see also heteronormativity). For these feminists, feminism is a primary means to human liberation (i.e., the liberation of men as well as women.)While many leaders of feminism have been women, not all feminists are women. There are a number of exclusively male groups which are sympathetic to feminist understandings of society and believe the dominant model of manhood or masculinity is oppressive to women, as well as limiting for men themselves.[1]There is debate about feminism concerning which types should exclusively be labeled, or considered. There are also overlapping beliefs such as in oppression by patriarchy and/or capitalism, or the belief they are one in the same. Crazy feminists are ruining our economy!

You use the word "feminism" to mean God knows what. The Kaminer passage you quoted says there are a variety of feminists, some very radical. So? How does support your point? And what is your point anyway? That a girl who wants to split the check is a radical feminist who wants to separate the sexes?I don't think it's the end of society if some girls want to pay. Welcome to the 21st century.

I Really do have to start stating my point first, that way you can't say anything. As long as Websex got it. it's good.
-
Your point is that men who pay are chivilrous, and women who pay are femininazi shrews who are destroying society. That's not subtle. I thought you might want to refine this idea (like so many others) that you've jumped on.I would wager that that's not what websexinfo is trying to say.
