Basic rule of thumb with weights isLess weight more repetitions tone you up.More weight less repetitions builds you more muscle. It depends on what exercises you are doing but you should be doing at least 12 repetitions. So do an exercise which you can do 12 with, rest, then another set or something, then repeat.Just thought i would hi-jack your thread here, what does anyone here -cough helmsmaN think of these. Weights prob will get If their crap, please let me know. AND tell me where I can get some decent ones. I'm from the U.K so any site will have to deliver to there.Mr. Nuts

more weight less reps? so if i up the weight and down the reps i get more muscular? what if i up both? PS- my left arm is a lot more muscular than my right! im panicking now, what do i do?

If you can up both then that means that you're not doing enough of either right now.

hm..i mean, i can do about 20 with the heaviest weights and 30 with the lightest per set...what i really wanna do is just completely bulk up, yknow? gain weight, make it into muscle, have my arms thicker so i look better in a t shirt...but i dont know where to start really.

Start with high reps and lower weight so that you can build yourself up to the heavier weights. If your muscles and tendons aren't used to the stress of lifting heavy weights, which is probably the case if you haven't lifted much lately, then you should do that first.
Your weights don't sound heavy enough. Doing more than 20 reps, I'm assuming you mean curls, is useless. Your heaviest weights should be the lightest ones. I rarely ever do bicep curls, but I do anywhere from 6-15 when I do. You may want to try to incorporate as many free body exercises as you can or do things like jump squats using those weights. With your weights that's the best thing you can do for conditioning. If you really want to bulk up then you'll need access to a gym with heavier weights and you'll need to do exercises like bench press and squats.
Don't worry much about bicep curls if you're not already focusing on your biggest muscle groups. They come first, then you do exercises that isolate the smaller groups like biceps.
