Just because he admits what he does doesn't mean he's exonerated of it.

White Pride
-
I'm a minority, wanna speak for me?
-
Immigrant.
It's good to be minority, i wish i was black though too. or a women.
I can call the government everything if they don't meet my demands its great.
-
I do not know.
But there alot of people here to try to fend for rights for me, doesn't seem to work. But then Black people complain about something or Native people they go there so fast like a superman!
If women want things in this country the immediatly get them, the government doesn't think.
Doesn't seem we are protected at all.
-
so... you wish to be a down-trodden minority so you can get free shit? Am I reading that right?
btw women aren't a minority
-
It's not what it says in our act.

This shall be a multi issue post for more then just Steve...
Steve, yo dawg, dont be dissin da o posative bloods or Ill cut you sucka fool ! My O+ will kick you A, B, AB, and any negatives ass in a blood baff!
Eddie, Why be proud of your color or even of your heritage?
those are either beyond control and 100% natural (black white purple or blue you had no choice what color to be)
or had nothing to do with you.
If grandpa was at normandy, killed a hundred germans and took the beach single handed, its one thong ot be proud OF HIM its another to think that his deeds reflect on you. They Dont. you had nothing to do with his actions or success.Cuddly Vet Mr. U, color and colour are both fine pending where you live. Angel may be proud of you, but myself Im worried. What happened to the man who was full of rage and blood and contempt for his x wife and life? you had made so much progress, why are you going back ?
why are you calming down in general?
This needs immediate attention. go find your buddies, get some Sam Jackson brews, and get back to recovering from the disservice that twat did to you, get angry.Angel, Stop encouraging mr U to be all fucking nice an calm and shit. during divorce and for atleast a 3 to 5 year period after you need to be pissed. It makes life so much easier.
Thor, I had a point for you but Ill be damned if I can think what it was with out going back to look at the thread, but i do know it had something to do with you being wrong.
That should be general enough to stir some shit up. It wasnt that your wrong on al accounts but on parts of some.
Now you go back and defend everything you wrote and ill skim thru later and see if ai can figure out where I was heading with this when i started it.I had a point for others as well, im jsut too lazy to go back and read now and then click reply and blah blah blah. if Im going to start clicking reply it shall be to new post rather then this.
EDIT:
I take it back, Ill do it this once because I feel the overwhelming need to do this single edit.Purple, Your an idiot, a whiner, a punk ass kid with no life experience to draw from, and a fucking drama queen. You see what you want to see and spout shit from your mouth wiht no though as to what you saw and how it affects the world and life around you. While I see nothing wrong with being black, I sure as hell dont want to become the downtrodden and abused. I also scan the canada papes each mmoning waiting to see a story about a dipshit boy who was murdered by groups of women, who stomped him to death for being a repugnant little shit, who will eventually HAVE to CHOOSE to be gay, as no woman would want him.
and a funny story, or atleast i thought and think it is...
back around 1995 or so I was working for a shithole that payed well. god awful work conditions in raw chemicals and insane fucking heat working 12 hour days. I didnt knfow many blacks or have the mindset I do know. I was a stupid little white boy, who thought that racism was over and it affected noone and that everyone was whining about nothing and needed to shut up. in short I was an older version of our idiot friend purple, aside form that I didnt hate on women.
Anyways i was having a smoke just off the side of the work floor where some wind could hit me and hte stairs led up to the 6th floor and the maintenence guys were coming back form break to do finish some repair work on some cells. its 130 fucking degrees on the floor around the cells, you run in work anfd run out with in a few minutes, its so fucking hot you cant breath with out your lungs aching. I swear to you this is no bullshit, its a fucking fact. when ya get close to the cells, where they were working on repairs it hits closer to 200 degrees if you actually touched it with your skin.
one of the maint. guys was about 300 lbs and clost to 6' 6" and black as Iv ever seen. There is brown and sorta light chocolate nad all these skin tones for blacks, but this guy was nearly black like black, a blueish black. He stops up stairs and we were bullshitting for a few minutes, hes talking about fuck I hate this shit, i hate being fucking black, its not fucking fair the shit i got to take !
I said something about wha thte fuck ya talking about ? its not like your in chains, you work, eat, go home, go out, dow what ya want, have laws to protect you simply because your black, you go talot of advantages, I realize there are still problems, but you got it pretty fucking easy compared to your parents and grandparents and keep going back and tell me how good those bastards had it.
He says, you now anything about science?
im black mother fucker, your white, that fucking heat bounces off your skinny white ass and it soaks into my fucking black ass and makes me boil from the inside mother fucker. Im never going ot live to get home, because my skin can only stretch so far from the blood makign steam and Im gonna burst.I thought it was fucking great, fuck you if ya didnt like my story, I laughed over that incident for days and stil get a smile to think back on it.
i left that shithole in 1999, the guy is one of the few bastards from there I still see or talk to. all because he ade me laugh and made me think at the same time. -
You have serious stereotyping issues...it's no wonder you think the answer to racism is to keep it alive.Such a cogent response to five paragraphs of text. Why don't you go back and reply to the specific points that were made. I am saying that racism existed before there were any pride movements, that pride movements are a response to real or perceived prejudice against a group, that "pride groups" like, for example, B.E.T., don't have much affect at all on how white people treat black people, and that it would be nice if racism went away so no one would feel the need to be proud of their skin color. You claim that "pride groups" perpetuate racism, as if it's a proven fact, like 2+3=5. Well, it's not. You believe it? Then make your case.In reply to:If you knew anything about being a government employee, you'd know that white males are the most expendable group of folks out there...there are no quotas to fill concerning them and they have no activist groups to back them up if they are treated unfairly. So as far as my not having been the brunt of unfair racial (and sexist) treatmentI know a fair amount about employment in the private sector, protected classes, what's acceptable to discuss in an interview, etc. Without the laws as they are, we'd still be living in the 50's, where utilities (even in NYC) wouldn't hire Jews, and no one wanted to hire a black.Do you have any sensitivity to the recent past, or do you think the Jews should have changed their names and become Christians, and the black should just have become white?Maybe you should start a White Guy Power group. I wonder how many underachievers you'll attract.> you aren't using your brain. Think, man!Did you learn this kind of rhetoric from Rush Limbaugh?

SteveA - In general response to your last post, I think we need to forget about the past and live in the present. I'm not about to go around paying for mistakes my ancestors or other people made. If you want to, be my guest...count me out.
-
LMAO!! well, truth of the matter is that it occured to me that fucktard no longer deserved my hatered. Hate is a special thing, reserved for those who warrant it.For a pathetic, alcoholic, middleaged child who finds teen love over the internet and throws away a 12yr relationship, all I can feel is contempt and pitty. But I'm sure I'll be a little worked up after seeing the bitch in court later this month. But my distain for her has no bearing on her race or any other race. Oh, on that note, maybe I'l tell you about my date last week
-
Eddie, Why be proud of your color or even of your heritage?Because it represents where you came from and part of whom you are. As I said before having heritage pride is healthy, it becomes unhealthy once you start to think your heritage is better than someone else’s heritage. That’s when racism and prejudice comes into play.
-
Angel, Stop encouraging mr U to be all fucking nice an calm and shit. during divorce and for atleast a 3 to 5 year period after you need to be pissed. It makes life so much easier. But i wanted him to be weak and vunerable so i could seduce him and have "getting back at the ex" sex with me DAMMIT!!!!!
-
I'm up for that

I think it's a mistake to always be talking about the "south" for things in the past, like the "north", "east" and "west" didn't do it as well! There's serious segregation all around, certainly in places like Boston, where you never see a black face at a Red Sox game. But it was in my lifetime that, in the South, blacks could not drink from the same water foutains, stay in the same hotels, eat in the same restaurants, walk down the sidewalk making sure they didn't look a white person, especially a woman, in the eye. There weren't many blacks swinging from the trees in New England (although Ohio has an interesting past). This is not directed at you in particular, but I highly reccomend John Howard Griffin's book Black Like Me.> I think you shouldn't speak for any minority; they have voices of their own now!Beyond the fact that I'm white, how exactly do you know anything about me?

In reply to:In general response to your last post, I think we need to forget about the past and live in the present. I'm not about to go around paying for mistakes my ancestors or other people made. If you want to, be my guest...count me out.So we can be doomed to relive the past? Not such a good idea. The idea here is not to make reparations for the past. The idea is that U.S. is still a prejudiced society, even though it may not be obvious to you. It's not as bad as it was 50 years ago, but it still certainly exists. Some academic recently did a test where they sent to potential employers identical made-up resumes, some with "black-sounding" names at the top, and others with "ordinary-sounding" names. There was a much better response to the non-black-name resumes. You may argue that blacks should just give white-sounding names to their kids, or change their names if they're already named Tanishqua, but that's just putting on a patch. It's like having a diseased leg and cutting it off and using a prosthetic, rather than trying to fix the leg. Employers aren't rejecting blacks' resumes because they don't like their names; they're rejecting the resumes because they don't like the fact that the applicant is black.I haven't said anything about affirmative action. I'm just arguing that everyone deserves a fair shake, and without legislation (that conservatives threw their bodies in front of to try to derail), the situation would be much worse now.

I started this reply when the thread was only a few post long so sorry if its seems a little dated and if it's hard to follow it because I was typing it between conference calls. So for what it's worth.I would like to redress and clarify a few thoughts that I held on this topic in the original thread that Steve is referring to.First to clarify what I believe pride is; I think it is something held singularly and silently. Something that is rather deep within ones self, it's not boastful. Rather, something that simply makes you hold yourself or walk with a little more confidence, self-assurance, and honor. I see pride as somewhat an inward reckoning of someone's beliefs (in the most broad sense of the term) with their actions. When pride is public it is, I think, generally, always a tool of propaganda. I don't want to confuse the issue, If pride is within a person, its evident. That is not what I am referring to. What I am referring to is when pride leaves the inner esteem and becomes a topic of group discourse. When a group of any kind touts the accolades of pride in race it is nothing more than a tool, a means to a socio-political end. That does not always make it bad thing however, black pride was and is an important tool in the Jim Crow south and now the Katrina south and ghetto north. After years of repression it is important to let people know that they have the right to be proud of themselves and that race was not a detractor from their character and most of all that race was nothing to be ashamed of. I think the same chain of reasoning applies to the gay pride movement or women's rights movement as well as other groups that have been historically repressed and discriminated against. Often, I think, people misconstrue the intention of the word "pride" when used as a tool. In an organizational movement, I think, the intent of the phrases "gay pride" or "black pride" are not speaking so much to pride as they are a simple way of saying that these attributes of the person are not something that make you less, that they are nothing to be ashamed of. These phrases are more a tool for the education of the repressed group so they may move past that which has been beaten into them (both figuratively and literally) by the dominant oppressor, to finally realize that I need not let what I am hold me back from walking with my head held high for it is nothing to be ashamed of.If it is accepted that any public group statement of pride is a political tool and if the litmus test of a public "pride movement" is whether the word pride is affirmative, to lift up the oppressed people, or defamatory, to claim superiority over the minority, then the phrase white pride must fail. The merits of the phrase "white pride" when viewed as a political tool reveals its true nature. That is as a popular political rallying cry, that can be a more easily and tolerably spread through the majority white community, than open, up-front defamation of a minority. The aryan movement has always, throughout it's history, sought to recruit new members by proclaiming pride in race. Be it pride in being a WASP or Nordic German Socialist or to reach an even wider audience pride in the fatherland. Despite arguments to the contrary white pride can never be about letting repressed white folks know that it is okay to be white. It has always been okay to be white, at least in this country. The proclamation of "white pride" fails on this single point without cause to study it any further. There simply is no reasonable argument that can be made stating that the controlling white majority is suffering persecutions to the point that they are ashamed of their own skin color and must, therefore, reeducate their people and instill pride in them where it has been beaten out.If the phrase "white pride" can not have its roots in a positive, affirmative political message to a bereft people, then all that is left is that, it is merely nothing more than a semi-acceptable phraseology for those in the white community that believe they are superior, by virtue of their race alone. And most importantly, and most often overlooked, as a tool to recruit others of the white race into the shrines of racism.

I think you shouldn't speak for any minority; they have voices of their own now!>> Beyond the fact that I'm white, how exactly do you know anything about me?> What's that got to do with anything? Another subterfuge? What is this subtrefuge crap that you keep mentioning? Is this some nonsensical innuendo because you don't know how to respond to an argument, or do you have something specific in mind?> Are you saying you have the right to speak for all minorities because I don't know you? That was Monty Python logic. I'm saying, How do you know that I'm not a minority? And even if I wasn't, are you saying that I can't make a congent argument on the subject without being one?
-
Thats funny you shoudl bring that up and i have something to add to it.I have an unlce, whos a attorney, a very good attorney in fact and about ten years ago before he made partner in a firm he was well known in his area of the country.several lawfirms wanted him working for them and he met with a few of them to discuss terms and offers. One of them foffered a assload of cash and bonus and benifits, more so then others, but they wanted him to change his name because he sounded black.his name is Lamar Brown. He got up and walked out the meeting telling them he could work for any company who based employment on bullshit terms rather then personal competency. It would of doubled his income to have taken that job. I never knew about a study done it, but I knew it was real. He had a reputation as agreat lawyer, they contacted him, they had seen him in court before they did so. They knew who he was and what he was capapble of and demanded a name change to sound MORE white rather then just being white. This in a great progressive state like california. I know racism is alive and well.
-
SteveA - You don't have to continually relive the past in order to learn from it...especially when reliving it fuels that which keeps the past (and its negativity) alive. Peoples attitudes about racism aren't going to change because of laws...they're going to change when they forget about race and accept everyone the way they are.
-
"which keeps the past (and its negativity) alive."In many places that past and negativity are still very much alive and thriving.>>>"Peoples attitudes about racism aren't going to change because of laws...they're going to change when they forget about race and accept everyone the way they are."That argument is a complete fallacy. Study the civil rights movement a see just how willing people were to forget race before the government forced integration.
