I'm just kind of curious but are any people here diabetic. I have been for about 11-12 years Since I was four so i'm type one.

It's not really a matter of age, although people who have it when they're young usually have type 1. But now that so many young people have type 2, they've gotten rid of the phrase "adult onset diabetes". Type 1 means that your pancreas doesn't make enough insulin; type 2 means that your cells are resistant to the effect of insulin.
I have a friend who has has type 1 since he was young, and I know a couple of people who have type 2 (my father did, but it wasn't serious enough to require medication). Pretty much in every case, keeping weight off and exercising regularly helped a lot in keeping blood sugar stable.
My friend with type 1 would measure his blood sugar and inject himself every time before a meal. He'd just undo his belt, open his pants, and shoot up.
My cat also developed type 2 diabetes when she got older, but that's another story.

I couldn't help stop it but it kind of sucks for me. I've always wanted to join the army but I can't untill just maybe that ilet cell thing works out
