This one is difficult, start out slow at first and work on speed later....Feet slightly wider than your shoulders, knees slightly bent...your feet and lower body shoud NOT move during this exercise, you're only bending at the waist...right hand will fan out (from your left side to your right) until it is slightly behind you, as if you're waving "hello " to someone. Make sure it ends up BEHIND, not at your side.Your left hand will follow the fan-wave movements of your right hand, untill they meet up together (follow the leader).Once your hands are close to eachother, bend down at the waist and SWING your arms and body like a pendulum to your left side, almost as if your touching your left toe (but youre not) with both hands. While youre still down there, swing back to your right side and do the same thing on the other side, only this time starting with your left hand.left hand will fan out (from your right side to your left) until it is slightly behind you, as if you're waving "hello " to someone. Make sure it ends up BEHIND, not at your side.Your right hand will follow the fan-wave movements of your leleft hand, untill they meet up together (follow the leader) and contine the movement for 5-10 minutes. This is a martial arts based exercise, so youre actually blocking FOUR strikes, two high ones and two low ones. Whan you do it fast it should look like youre a fan and a pendulum at the same time, with your waist not just bending (like when you touch your toes) but twisting as well.

I'd recommend seeing a chiropractor also. You never know, there could be something wrong with your back, or you could have a slight case of scoliosis (sp?). I see one on a regular basis and it helps me out a lot.

a chiropractor can also make recommendations for strengthening exercises...
