Hacked by Liz0ziM...what does that mean? I use the intertracker service for my diary site and I go to log into the intertracker service, and it says "hacked by Liz0ziM". Is it something serious? I did a search on the Internet and can't really decipher much.

I did a google search for Liz0ziM and a few pages came up with the same message. I think its probably the name of some hacker who is going around to diary/blog sites and hacking accounts.

lovely...i wonder if it's a serious threat, i have credit card information in this system
-
I don't think so. The way most websites work is that they send credit card information to a seperate banking database. Usually they aren't allowed keep credit card records.

That makes sense about the banking info, thanks. Well the only address that I have for the administrator is the intertracker email address. I emailed that address.

I'm not so sure about that. Many Web sites actually will store your credit card information (e.g., Amazon.com, ISPs) when you elect to have them keep your information on file. There has been lots of theft of credit card information from random vendor's Web sites. Banks seem to lose information in other ways (like losing track of backup media).I hope the credit card in question is not a debit card. If it is, you should cancel it immediately. If it's a credit card, you can cancel it, but at least keep track of charges on-line if you can. There's some info about the exploit here: http://securitytracker.com/alerts/2006/Jun/1016335.htmlThe implication is that it trashes data rather than steals it...but who knows.
