Strip poker

This is long after the strip poker game that started this thread but maybe someone will benefit.
If you are nervous about strip poker, find out before you go who else will be there and how far the game will go. Sometimes strip poker goes no farther than taking off some outer clothing; other times it not only goes to full nudity with players expected to perform various sexual acts if they lose after that. Other times that is not part of the game but a lot of sexual activity takes place once people have their clothes off.
After you go know what is really going on, decide whether or not the fun of the game will be worth the risks that make you nervous. Decide in advance what your limits and if you are pressured to do something that goes beyond those limits, leave immediately.
Of course you will get hard!!!! I can only think of two reasons to play strip poker: (1) Peer pressure, and that is a very bad reason and (2) wanting a sexual thrill. If you are playing for some good clean dirty fun, that means you want to get turned on sexually, and you are supposed to get hard when you are turned on. So will all of the other guys playing.
I'm not going to recommend behavior that defies parents, but having said that, I know kids will look for sexual turn-ons, and this is one that can be relatively safe. But don't get into the idea of doing it because "everybody does it." Many kids don't and if you are not comfortable playing in a specific game of strip poker with a particular group of people, then don't do it.
Strip poker can be a fun and safe sexual turn-on if it stops before the point of actual sexual contact with others. Sometimes it stops before anyone gets naked. Usually it doesn't stop there. Sometimes sexual activity as the next step after the last item of clothing is removed takes it past being totally safe. Even if that is not planned to be part of the game, if you have ten naked 13-15 year olds, half boys and half girls in a room together, some sex play is almost guaranteed. If you are not prepared to set firm limits at "no touching" and stick to it no matter what happens, you'd better bring condoms.
It is not safe if you end up feeling guilty about it or if your parents find out and ground you for the next thirty years.
If you are playing because you want it to go into sex play, make sure that everyone understands that is what is going on. Pressuring someone to do sexual things they don't want to do is unfair, dangerous, and possibly grounds for a rape charge. People who want to back out when things get heavy must be respected.
Several responders suggested drinking with the game. I think that is a bad idea for several reasons. First, the main reason people would drink or get high before strip poker is to lower inhibitions. If you need to do something to lower inhibitions, do you really want to play strip poker? Once you get past inhibitions, sexual turn-ons are more fun and more intense when you are sober. Finally, if you are drinking you are likely to use lousy judgment about safety and no one can really give consent for anything. That is breeding grounds for a rape charge.
One of my sons once asked permission (while in high school) to spend a weekend in a motel room as the only guy with five girls, with all planning to get drunk. He knew I did not have a huge problem with the fact that he would drink on an occasional weekend and or with him having some sexual experience. So he was surprised when I asked who would support the baby. He replied, Oh, come on. We won't do anything stupid. My response was that if you are planning to get drunk that could only be for the purpose that all six would be doing stupid things. Anyway the six kids decided it was a bad idea.
I think it is pretty clear that I am not being a excessively restrictive to kids about sexual fun. I am much more interested in keeping it safe -- both physically and emotionally -- than in trying to stop it or even slowing it down. But sexual turn-ons while drunk or high are probably not safe.
