Out my front door and out my bedroom window you can see the mountains, waking to frost and seeing hte fuckers covered in fsnow, its really over rated when ya live there and see it daily, all that fucking white all the time for the entire winter into early summer, it gets damned depressing.

This thread sure got hijacked in a hurry. Numbnuts is now an honorary American, and HelmsmaN lives in a pineapple under the sea.To the little kiddies on this site, the Internet has been around forever. They can't conceive of a time when people in different countries wrote letters with pen and paper (on very lightweight stationary). They've always had at least 50 cable channels full of garbage, and they don't realized that the cost of an international phone call was measured in dollars per minute (adjusted for inflation).Yet even though we have all this communication, all this MTV International, I still see foreign tourists (most noticeably, American tourists) in foreign countries, annoying the locals. One would hope that in a place like this, where a diverse cross section of Web surfers with personal issues get together, that some sensitivity and understanding toward other cultures will result.Anyone who has a clue as to how the communications infrastructure was designed and implemented will be in awe and amazement that something so complex can actually work. The more you know about it, the more amazed you will be. What you said is well worth pondering.

I know too much,it doesnt leave me in awe, it jsut gives me a fucking headache to ponder how inteh christ someone figured it all out, then put it all together.I cant understand it all, but I havea pretty good working knowledge of what happens when I push the submit button and how computers view the pages. There are a milllion people that know more then I, but i bet they couldnt blow the fuck out of anything nearly as impressivly or as safely as I can.Let them ponder that!bastards

well, I have a cough year or cough cough two in telecom. What amazes me is how much gets pushed over physical infrastructure that is 10, 20, 40 or more years old.

grvtykllr, after seeing your pic I almost thought that I seen myself. Must be the light maybe. I don't climb and weigh 200lbs so I new it wasn't. But the face? Like I said maybe the light or you are my twin brother....take me climbing bro please. You pay.
-
Pay ? I own all the gear, and climbing is free, aside from gas to get to the crag. I have harnesses in any and all sizes, I got a buddy Iv taken whos nearly 300 lbs and I got a harness to fit him, he wont climb but hes alwasy up for jumping off a cliff and sliding down a rope. I have other harnesses that fit a 75 pound thats 4 foot tall. I can safely take just about anybody of any body size or shape. Iv gotten many people started climbing and taught them the safe way to do it, always glad to help someone else start.

I haven't lived one day where I haven't thought the exact same thing. Every time I am out someplace and I see a computer, I wonder what places and things people have seen on there.
