Yea with the exchange rate we have a similar minimum wage, though the cost of living is lower here.
I had my first day yesterday, it was very exciting. I have to have my swipe card to go anywhere in the building and I got the full rundown on what happens in the event of a bomb, some nutcase threatening to kill someone etc.
And the most exciting part is that I'm dealing with cases that have been in the news. I get to see all the evidence that noone else does. Unfortunately, I can't talk about it of course. "You see all, hear all and know nothing", that's what the lady in charge said.
The best thing about the whole thing is that it is extremely flexible. The work is always there for me to do, so when I have some free time I just drop in and work however many hours I want. It's going to be good in the holidays as I can pretty much work fulltime!
