is it best to drink a protien shake before or after a workout?

After.The common opinion is that you need the shit in the shake to help rebuild after you tore the muscles down and drinking it before would be a waste of drinking it.

well maybe later when ya have time you should come back and go over it ?Everything I found online about it stressed doing it after rather then before.

why not just do both before and after then you're covered on all bases.

hm ill try both and see what happens. another quick question though is aside from a good diet and working out, in order to get defined abs how far would you say is a good amount of distance to run. after i workout i always run a mile...is that good enough or shoudl i run more?
