I actually noticed this a couple months ago and thought nothing of it because it doesn't itch, burn, or hurt at all. At first I thought it might have just been a pimple and I guess I just forgot about it over time, but I still have this bump and I'm a little concerned.Like I said, it's just one small red bump and it's on the top of the shaft of my penis on the end closer to my abdomen. I've been sexually active with my girlfriend (protected except for oral), but she discovered a few months ago that she has HPV (obtained from a previous boyfriend). After she found out about that, we stopped having sex until she goes for her next appointment.Could this red bump be a result of her performing oral sex on me before we found out about her HPV? I realize this is pretty careless on my part for letting this bump remain unattended to for a few months, but I'm getting more concerned by the fact that it's still here. Can anyone please shed some light on this?

One small red bump on my shaft. What is this?

HPV warts are usually not red bumps.

Any idea what it could be then?

If her infection is in her genitals, I don't see how you would get the virus from oral (unless she also has an oral infection). On the other hand, condoms are not a completely effective preventative measure for HPV. On the third hand, your symptom doesn't sound like HPV.Can you be more detailed about what the small red bump looks like? (Still, anything we could tell you would be a guess.)

I don't know how much more descriptive I can be, but I'll try. It looks like a tiny pimple. The head of it isn't white or anything...it actually almost looks kind of glossy.

I'm not sure bud but that sounds like one of the first symptoms of syphilis you might wanna get that checked out.
