Yeah its supposed to rule, but I just realized how much at least the 1st semester is gonna suck- getting college apps, finishing them, recommendations, essays, keeping up the GPA, SATs, APs, everything. When I was a freshman and sophomore I longed to be a mighty senior. Now I wish I could be in 9th or 10th grade again, the easy days, where grades mattered, but not quite as much, where standardized tests like the SAT were not a concern, where life after high school was not on your mind. Now its like wtf am I going to do? High school over? Senior year, please don't kill me.Anybody else know what I mean?

Senior year

Join the club lol. It helps to know though that SATS don't count for nearly as much as they used to. But I figure once you get through all that crap the rest will be a blast. And you gotta think, if all that stuff was really that incredibly hard then how the heck do 2 million students a year survive it? So atleast we know it's doable.
-
Yea i know whats it like. i have been in denal about all the SATs and stuff Im just yea im a senior. But it has sucked getting used to going back to school.
-
You take the SAT your senior year? We take them our junior year around here.
-
Junior year? Doesn't that put you at a disadvantage? I took the SAT senior year, and a "practice" version of it, the PSAT, junior year; the PSAT was used to determine National Merit Scholarship winners.
-
We can take them our junior and senior year. Everyone takes them atleast twice that way they can pick the better of the two scores.
-
The way it was explained to me.. You need to submit your college applications by November(of Senior year) which need your SAT scores. There are no SAT tests given early enough that could make the deadline.
-
I pretty much finished off everything I had by my Junior year in high school. SATs and all. My senior year, I got 8 grades based on Youth Apprenticeship, which basically meant I have to get a job in my decided career field and then turn in a timesheet showing that I worked the hours I was supposed to. When senior year is over, you'll miss it. I know I do. I graduated in 2004.

What is this SATs?
-
"The SATs is a standardized test that many students take to enter into a prestigious University or College. The score a student receives on their test usually displays some sign of their intelligence"This is a peice of an essay written about the SATs. It goes on to talk about how the SATs are not a very good way to judge academic knowledge.

whatev senior year is intimidating. your other grades you always looked forward to the end, and 12th grade is the beginning of the end, the final stretch, graduation mere months, not years, away. but then theres so much work, so many finishing touches, and then you realize that in the blink of an eye, high school is gonna be over, and it goes from a happy thought to a reflective, melancholy thought. senior year reminds me of getting my braces off- i always looked forward to it, but when they were taking them off it was so uncomfortable. same with senior year, you look forward to it, but once you get there, you realize theres more to it than just coasting through, theres a lot of work left to be done before you reach the end.
