People are always going to consume. And when it comes the media they will consume what fires their emotions most readily. Its the same principle of mob rule. The media gives the people what they want at any given moment without thought of consequences.

LOL...the industry increasingly gives the people what they want to...and the people, knowing nothing else, buy it. How else does one account for all the garbage that passes for music found on the radio these days? It's because younger folks fuel what is played by buying the most CD's/tapes/etc, and have rarely been exposed to anything else. Those exposed to real music reject the garbage...those who aren't think it's the greatest thing. Same thing with underwear. If the general consensus thinks it's cool, regardless of the reason, they buy it. All one need to do is find a way to make them think it's cool. If I eliminated all cars on the road except AMC Gremlins, would people stop driving because all they had were ugly cars to drive? I don't think so. They'd learn to love their choice. Thongs? I love them on women...they eliminate all the nasty lines you see on a dress or a tight pair of jeans. Little girls at 9 should be concerned about other things than the way they look...and they don't need parents accelerating their growth process in the wrong direction. That's how prostitutes are made...at an early age.

I didnt say anything against what you just said. You just taken a long-winded approach of repeating my words. Yes the media gives the people what they want. Yes it accounts for alot of garbage. Like I said, mob rule.

I agree whole heartedly with the "it's disgusting" side of this argument. It's sad to think that there are parents who are so ignorant of what goes on in their children's lives that they would allow a such a young girl to do anything like this. I just don't get it.
