He didn't pull it out of his chest...that was a rumor.

Steve Irwin R.I.P

In reply to: it's funny. people are more sad about him dying rather than the hundreds that died with Hurricane Katrina. muaha It's funny, people are more sad about Katrina, when thousands died preventable deaths yesterday, not a year ago. Oh that's right they don't live in the US.

In reply to: He didn't pull it out of his chest...that was a rumor. His manager/friend said that he did... after veiwing the tapes.

In reply to: It's funny, people are more sad about Katrina, when thousands died preventable deaths yesterday, not a year ago. Oh that's right they don't live in the US. Good point. So everytime CHILDREN AND FAMILIES die it doesn't matter to other humans in different countries? That's right. Sorry I forgot. You're a HEARTLESS BUM! Last time I checked you guys were discussing Steve Irwin. One man compared to HUNDREDS of people. But wait no... they're just Americans that's all. World is sick

well i doubt anybody is saying his death is more important than anybody elses, just more widely felt, for however annoyingly perky and peppy the guy was , he was likeable and broadcast apparently everywhere, so it would be understandable if more people around the world felt it deeper than the ones who died in katrina and elsewhere

i don't think that at all. i didn't lose anyone from the bitch but i lost my home and things that can't be replaced (family pics/videos). I have a friend that lost her grandma. i KNOW how that family is mornign and I know there are lots more. i had friends that lived there and i will never see them again becouse of that bitch. HELL i don't know if some of them r even alive. how the fuck u think i feel. my frind could be dead. it's been a YEAR since katrina and people are still hurting, talking and still trying to get on there feet and still this and that. like me some could be still wondering if there friend have moved away or dead....and a year from now no one will be thinking or talking about steve's death...no one but his family and friends....remebering the past with him.yeah and wut Dantek said ...
-
I understand how you feel. It just kind of ticked me off how people can joke around about it or say it's no big deal just because it didn't happen in "their" country. That's crap. Hundreds of people were effected by this weekly event in New Orleans. I had distant family and friends there and to hear someone say something like that is just... ugh. But people like that are heartless so it doesn't matter to me. Or at least I don't take it seriously.

You completely misunderstood what Joe said.He was talking about how Americans were so concerned about the deaths as a result of hurrican Katrina (which obviously is quite understandable) which happened a year ago, but the American people don't show nearly as much concern about the 80,000 or so people who die every day. The 16,000 children that die from hunger-related illnesses every day.

What Bob said and I was emphasising Katrina happened a year ago. Yours was a fair point, but I just found it weird that you picked Katrina to illustrate it rather than something more recent.

LOL, amen homicidalpossum
In reply to:
Worthless Emo Band! WEB!
im a music nerd so im gunna point out that they aren't emo...lol

They aren't traditional emo, but they are the current band of choice for the modern day emo.
-
was Steve Irwin an Emo?
-
He was, yeah. Hidden under those shorts were a pair of My Chemical Romance underpants.
-
crocodile teeth were his razor blades

>He didn't pull it out of his chest...that was a rumor.
Actually it bounced back and forth from being a rumor and being truth. It actually ended up being true that he pulled the barb from his chest, they have it on video. They originally were going to air the video but decided against it and now the family wants the video destroyed after the coroners office is done with it.

In reply to: What Bob said and I was emphasising Katrina happened a year ago. Yours was a fair point, but I just found it weird that you picked Katrina to illustrate it rather than something more recent. Katrina is still very recent to me and many people where I am. I'm still affected by it. Hundredes of people are still affected by it. I went down there not too long ago and it looks unbelievable. So yes it's very recent to me. I know that thousands of people are dying all over the world. However, you guys are discussing Steve Irwin. And all I said was that it's funny how people make a bigger deal over his death than the Katrina incident. I didn't say it was a bad thing it's just something I noticed. It's typical so I don't mind. Both of these things appeared on the news worldwide and the reaction to them both is something I should have expected but it doesn't matter. Didn't need the whiplashes though...

I think people are naturally most interested about people they know. Seeing someone on TV or in the movies is a sort of knowing, and that's why so many people are interested in the private lives of actors and showmen.

yeah but people who aren't actually suicidal will put them selves in dangerous positions for work or fun, not expecting that today may be their last. Were people calling Dale Earnhardt a selfish prick for leaving his family behind? How about Capt. Miles Selby ... was he another risk taking moron?Just a thought
