I started using that Head and Shoulders because I heard it works great for bacne. (more information here )Anyways, so I tried it and now I have major irratation on my skin. Should I stop using the Head and Shoulders and when the irratation goes away pick it back up again if it's not an allergic reaction? Would it be like benzyl perioxide where you keep on using it and the irratation goes away when your skin gets used to it?

Major irratation or allergic reaction

I think I'm allergic to H & S. I use it, when I get out of the shower, my body starts to itch. My torso and arms.
But, I think it can also be the soap or body-wash I'm using or such.
An 'Allergie' is possible.

I'm not itchy or anything, that's the problem.

If it has irritated your skin then you should stop using it.

It sounds like you have a reaction to something in it. It may not be the active ingredient - try another brand. (There is even a H&S version made for sensitive skin.)

I'll try the sensitive skin one.
Thanks for all the replies.

I owner of a hair salon I worked at briefly once told me about a test they did with head&shoulders. They left it splattered over an oven overnight and it removed a thick layer of rust. I wouldnt put that stuff on my head. Also, despite be marketed for dealing with dandruff, it actualy makes it only works in the short term to remove crap from your hair (the way it removes crap from an oven), but in the long run it dries your scalp out. I see it as the McDonalds of hair products.
