hi. i'm coming here because i'm afraid i have an std. i'm a female and i noticed i'll get a single bump around my vagina. it only happens rarely and it'll usually go away within a few days. it's kind of like a pimple, it hurts to put pressure on it. it's not white or red, it's my natural skin color. the only way i can think of it is like a pimple. it feels like i could pop it like a pimple but i never tried, and don't plan to. i've looked up online and a lot of what i've found is saying it might just be an ingrown hair. now that i think about it, it only occurs around the time i trim/shave. but now i'm confused, because i was only trimming this time and it's been a few days since i trimmed (with scissors) and the bump isn't around any hair follicles. i'll only get it on the outside on top of my pubic hair, but this time it's near my clitoris (not on it) very clothes to my pubic hair. and i'll only get one bump at a time, i've never seen more than one. it's just like a pimple you'd get on your face where it hurts to touch it, like there's a hard ball underneath it and it hurts to put pressure on it.can somebody help me please? this has been going on for a few months and it only happens rarely. please help, someone.

Small pimple-like bump

Quit your worrying. It's small clogged pore/cyst.

are you sure? i've had them many times --well not many times but over a handful of times since i've been sexually active. my mom has been talking about going to an ob/gyn to get a pap smear and std tests, what should i say about the bumps? if they are cysts, what should i expect?

Just say what you said here. You have to tell your doctor everything.
