Some time ago I first felt a rough or rippled (not sure how to best describe it) area in the anal canal. It stretches from my anus to the rectum, but is rather thin (maybe a bit wider near the rectum). I can feel it clearly though. There is no pain, discomfort or any other worrying symptoms involved. It seems a bit more sensitive than the surrounding areas when I apply a bit of pressure to it.
Now for the embarrassing part: I have a serious anal fixation, and used to try and put all kinds of stuff in my ass that seemed safe (not anymore). A few weeks I think before I noticed the situation described above I used two cucumbers simultaniously. I would like to believe that was the cause, as there was some serious strain and pressure involved, but I can't find any information to back that up. There was no bleeding involved during or afterwards, so no obious symptoms of damage that online sources make mention of. So is it likely that what I feel is damaged muscele? I'm a big pessimist and can't stop worrying about it, and it has been there for months now that I know of.
You can imagine I don't want to tell the same story to my doctor (coming here was hard enough already). It wouldn't just be embarrassing, it would be like telling him about my twisted obsessions and at the same time asking him to put his finger up my ass.
Any information (or links to it) on the subject is extremely appreciated.

I think any issues you have with your rectum have everything to do with your anal activities. Perhaps you should visit a doctor to see if everything is OK.

I think you have two options - try to forget about it, since it's causing you no trouble, or pluck up your courage and visit a proctologist. Proctologists have seen everything.

Thank you for your replies. I don't have the courage to step to a doctor yet, so in the meantime I'll continue to convince myself this is very unlikely to kill me. I think I'm a bit overworried because the number of people I know that died of cancer.
