This is really great. There is one spot maybe 1 centimetre away from the anus which has repeatedly made trouble in the last months. 2 months ago this spot became uneven and started to hurt when you touch it. It couldn't really be called a swelling. It wasn't that uneven, it was rather like a pimple. I went to the doc and showed it to him and he just told me to use some antibiotic cream. After a while it went away. But then suddenly after 2 weeks it was back and I made another appointment. When I finally got to the doctor 4 or 5 days later it had already decreased and he couldn't find anything. This is also something which sucks, even if you are able to notice a difference in most cases the doctor doesn't even see it or feel it....And now, nearly 2 months later, I noticed that the same area is uneven again! You simply noticed it when you run your finger over your skin. It feel like there is something under the skin. So far it doesn't hurt but it's also not normal. Somehow this is starting to concern me. I never had such stuff in the past. Does this sound like something dangerous? What if this is an anal gland which becomes inflamed for some reason and turns into an abscess? But if I went to the doctor now he most likely wouldn't even be able to spot it. Maybe I have had this also in the past and simply didn't notice it, I don't know.

You didn't say how old you are or if you're male or female... It could possible be two things that I know of...
When I was growing up and played a lot of sports, I would get ingrown hairs down around my anus. I went to the doctor several times for a painful bump like pimple spot that hurt when I walked, played sports and even wiped. He said they were ingrown hairs.
Apparently my jock strap would ride high into my ass crack and do havoc on my ass hairs and also rub my anus area raw. I used the have to use anti-bacteria soap and a scrubby and scrub that area when I showered and put some cream stuff on it at night. It could turn into a cyst if not watched and cared for he said. If your doctor appointment is not for a few days and you think it will subside a little before then, I suggest snapping a few digital snapshots of it for him to see...Let us know how it turns out...
