In reply to: thanks for your good intentions but your suggested cures for insomnia rate with suggested cures for depressions such as "cheer up... pull your self together" I beg to differ. They were the recommendations my doctor made and they have worked well for me. The suggestions won't work for everyone, but they aren't bad things to do anyway.

Sleeping is up there with eating and sex on my preferred things to do listYea but I'm stuck with only the sleep and eating. And I seem to have desided food is stupid so...I have the oposite issue more then I get insomnia. I over sleep and I have lots of trouble waking up. If I dont have to go to school I sleep about 13 hours a night and can't get up befor that. It's pretty anoying. I need someone to come and drag me out of bed after 8 hours because I can't get up by myself. It's retarded.I also feel tired alot so I usually go to sleep when I get home from school.

"4:20 p.m. (or even a.m.) is also a popular time..."

Anti depressants and other medication can cause mild insomnia. I dont know if youre on any mediation but if so I would recomend checking the side effects.
