deodorants and anti-perspirants are slightly different - one is designed to mask odor while the other to reduce sweating and odor. Though in my experience , during physical activity sweating occurs no matter how much anti-perspirant you put on.So, first off, you need to decide which way to go; but most guys do prefer the anti-perspirant for it's dual action. Then you need to try some different brands to see which one has th emost effect for you. I recall goign through maybe 5 or 6 befor eI found one that worked best for me. Also, even though people tend to buy grooming products with a good smell, remember that a lot fo people are allergic to scented products especially when the aroma is pervasive. So if you do find one that has a scent pbest for you make sure the aroma is subtle and not room-filling.One other thing to contemplate. There have been a few studies (although inconclusive) that show a link between alzheimers and aluminum levels in the body. Anti-perspirants and some deodorants contain aluminum and it is absorbed through the skin (which is why they work). Given that you don't need to apply heavy layers of either and that you should not require more than one application a day, take it easy just in case one of those studies has merit.
