**I have to jump in here and say im the same, i LOVE snow, LOVE christmas, and like starfish, can't have christmas without a real tree, a big 8 footer...........and actually if you water your tree its not too bad for needles........i put mine up the first couple of days in December and it lasts all the way through YAY *getting giddy thinking about it*
Since im moved up here 12 years ago the winters have been getting gradually less snowy, last year was the first time we havn't had a white christmas!!!!!
The very first christmas up here the power went out christmas eve and didn't come on for 4 days, thank god it was christmas and we had lots of nibbles in the house of we would have starved LOL its stunningly beautiful up here when it snows, only down side, the kids get LOTS of days off cos of it **

I know... I just felt like complementing it Christmas is my favorite time of year... christmas cards, nights cuddled up by the fire, hot coco, and all the decorations and things... I LOVE it! It's so much fun... the only thing I don't like is I don't get to see snow sob It's usually just sleet and ice... cries

OMG i hate the way it is now. who cares if its dark at like 5 in the morning or not. Its like already starteing to get dark here now.
i was so freaked out this morning when i woke up for school and it was light out. -
A few years ago, before I moved to the house I live in now, I lived in a little apartment with a tiny sitting room. Walking in there at Christmas-time used to be like walking into a forest, because I always insisted on an enormous tree regardless whether I had the room or what, and the thing is, if you want an eight foot tall tree, it's going to be eight foot across at the base too. I used to have to snip bits off so we had a clear view of the TV, ha ha.

lol aww! It reminds me of my other half... he bought a (PLASTIC DAMMIT) tree for his mom when he moved out, and it is absolutely massive. Her front room is tiny and already has two 2 seater sofas and an armchair, and a huge tv and stereo system. Every single year they have the same arguement about the damn tree... where it will go, his mom saying they should just have a smaller tree, manthing arguing that it was a present and she should use it... they drive me crazy!!! Two years in a row they've had this arguement, third year row has just begun *rolls eyes*
I'd love to go to Ireland.. I've never been anywhere outside the midlands.. :open_mouth:ooh I lie, actually I once ventured down south to Torquay area... ahhh I need holiday! -
