Im playing a lot of squash right now, i play for up to 2 hours once a week which is a long time to be playing a high speed game like squash.Due to that nature of the game and having to change direction rapidly my toes are suffering the most. The skin on my big toe keeps peeling off to the extent i have to cut it off, the last bit was 1cm x 1cm which is quite large. My other big toe is looking a little red also.My footwear is pretty good, i wear Addidas Goodyear trainers which are good for the changes of direction, socks, naturally but there is still rubbing in my shoes.Whats goin on!? OOh the pain!

Toe skin peeling off and hurting...

Sounds like it could be athlete's foot making it worse. If not, there's just an excessive amount of friction on your skin. Try tying your shoes tighter. Your feet shouldn't be able to slip around side to side or front and back if they fit good, but without too much tightness in any part of the shoe. This involves finding the shoes that are best for your feet. If you are willing to spend the money, buy a decent pair of shoes at a place that specializes in shoes (sportcheck and other department stores like that don't count). I'd suggest some place like the Tec Shop if you have it there or whatever other places specialize in athletic shoes. Running room here is excellent, but that's Canadian only I believe.
I personally find that Mizuno's fit my feet the best of any athletic shoe, and Asics are pretty good too. This is primarily for running, but I still obviously pick shoes that fit the best so as to reduce friction blisters on my feet (which I never get from Mizuno, but once again that's because my feet fit well in Mizuno's, not necessarily yours). I suggest trying on a bunch of different brands at a place that has people who seem to know what they're talking about.
