My manthings fav presi from last year was a bit of the moon i bought as a jokey gift, he loved it and im hoping hes gonna move there soon LOLA plea goes out on my behalf too, can anyone think of presents for a 10 year old blind girl...........its soooo HARD!!!!!! all ideas gratefully received LOL

Is she into music? Music is the first thing that springs to mind, but you've probably bought her tons of music already given that must rely on her hearing so much. I'm sorry I couldnt think of anything more original! It's just I've never bought a gift for a blind child in my life, so other than music I wouldnt know where to start.
Maybe those talking story books or software? You know the voice recognition software, so that she could make up her own little stories and stuff, if she's creative in that way?

Does he have satellite radio?
The Samsung Nexxus is pretty cool for XM radio. It's a XM receiver with MP3 player. You can also record several hours of XM radio. It's about $89 at Wal-Mart.
Or, if you wanna go all out, the INNO is pretty stellar. It's a portable XM radio plus MP3 player. The difference between it and the Nexxus is that with the INNO you can actually have portable XM signal, not just recorded. IT is much more expensive though. -
Thanks Star well she LOVES music and has a keyboard, tonnes of music and audio tapes and stories, and last year i got her a dictaphone which she uses to tell stories into and then brailles them out...........its just getting harder and harder the older she gets!!!!!

When you buy her clothes is she real particular about the fabrics? I'd imagine if I were blind the feel of fabrics would be much more important to me; silks and suades and furs.. Maybe in with her toys you could get her a lovely soft furry coat? Though I know unimpressed kids are with clothes at Christmas time generally, lolHave you asked her what she wants? I'm sure she'll have a few ideas of her own! Then maybe to keep the surprise alive you could say they had none left in the shops and watch how delighted she'll be on Christmas morn!

anyone got any ideas for the tech freak?
-
Ahh I'm sorry luv, I didnt mean to be ignorin you! hug It's just I'm not the least big technically minded, the most technical thing in my home is this computer I'm now tapping away at! Why dont you start a new thread and title it 'advice needed from the techno's' or something like that? That might draw the right kind of attention!
-
awww sorry hon i didn't mean to hijack your thread cuddles

anyone got any ideas for the tech freak? You can give him me to unwrap I have a Plug and Play feature with a few ports he can use evil grin

Why don't you try asking him what he wants? That way you would know for sure if he would love your gift. In the meantime, I will think of some things you could get him. In reply to what NtroducingMyself said... LOL
