Make sure you go vote today..... You can make a difference!

Voting
-
Unless you're a racial minority...
-
...unless your area has electronic voting....unless you're voting for congressperson and you live in a gerrymandered district......unless you live in Northern Florida and have a latin-sounding name, or unless you're bogusly put on a convicted felon list (thank you, W.'s brother)....unless you live in Ohio.I'd like to think you're right, but our democracy is quite ill...yet we're trying to spread democracy elsewhere.
-
...unless you live in Ohiohey now! LoLI am voting today after work, we need some SERIOUS changes in Ohio. Down with DeWine! hehe
-
Yes down with De Whine!I wonder how many dead people will be voting in Ohio this year.
-
Who are ya voting for hon? It's a toss up between Carol and Richard (Kinky) lol I know Kinky is way out there, but I really don't like any of the other candidates lol There is no way I'd vote for that fool Perry... he's a crooked as they come (but then again, who isn't these days?).
-
Exactly, De WHINE! The way he campaigned was awful. It was over the top dirty and lies. He really came off looking childish, which I think hurt his campaign more than anything. Regardless I think Sherrod Brown has a lot to offer Ohio. I hope the election turn out is good this year!Oh and I hope the smoking ban passes fingers crossed
-
Yes, I'll be voting today (as soon as I get out of bed). I'll make sure to vote against every Republican. LOL.
-
In reply to: Oh and I hope the smoking ban passes fingers crossed A smoking ban was introduced in Ireland in 2004 banning smoking in all enclosed spaces like bars, restaurants and offices. Smoking isn't allowed in work places except in specially designated areas, if such areas are offered. A lot of bars and clubs have smoking areas outside, and some places are exempt from the ban such as prisons and hotel rooms. Concerning health, the ban has been great. Its encouraging people to quit and it completely removes secondhand smoke. On the negative side people think that it has taken away from the atmosphere of some places, and altho I agree, its a minor thing that nobody will care about in a few decades.
-
Hee hee, I had NO idea that it meant a person when I saw signs that said "Vote Kinky". lol
-
>On the negative side people think that it has taken away from the atmosphere of some places, and altho I agree, its a minor thing that nobody will care about in a few decades.
Exactly! *grin*
I just don't think those who choose to smoke should be allowed to put those who do not smoke in danger of the second hand smoke. They have the right to smoke, but they don't have the right to put my health in danger.
-
Well apparently the people of Ireland agree. We were the first country in the world to ban smoking in all enclosed spaces.
-
...Wow.....Now I know how you people really feel. I'm doing what I can to make this big state of Texas less of a RED STATE. I'm sure my vote won't change too much in the big scheme of things, but at least I'm trying instead of not voting and complaining and whining about it.Katie…. That question is a tough one... I went with Grandma Carol because her campaign office answered my questions the best about what her position is on gay men and women and their rights in this state. I personally don’t like any of them especially Perry…I miss California.
-
Is it just me Eddie, or is Sherrod Brown kind of hot?
-
LoL he has a sex appeal, I agree. It's the sophisticated sexiness I think. I have a thing for guys that are nerdy, but yet have a sexy look (If that makes any sense lol)
-
whats the voting for?
-
Midterm elections.
-
He has a black guy's name (if you pronounce it as Share-rod) I'm rooting for him to win. I watched him a few times on C-SPAN and I like his ideals.
-
Yeah, that's how you pronounce it. He makes me want to be a politician groupie.
-
I convinced my mom to not vote for Kerry Hiely. I find that an accomplishment.
