First off, I've been on this board before under the name Nighthawk88, but couldn't remember what e-mail I used and I forgot the password. Is there anywhere were you can go for free, or at least really cheap to get tested? I really don't want to have to go under my parents insurance, for the sake of keeping it from them, but I'm a college student so I don't have a lot of money. I'm asking because my girl friend (who was a virgin until I took it from her) had a sit down meeting with two of her friends at Planned Parenthood to ask questions. We'll out of those 3 im the only boyfriend that was sexually active before her, so she wants me to get tested. I don't have a problem with it, actually it would be a good thing and make me get to get tested. Before I was scared before that I would get some bad results back.I think that I have genital warts, but I'm not for sure. And my g/f has seen them (but had had her series of the HPV shots and a pap just last week) and we always use a condom. The biggest of the sore is at the base of my penis and holds true to the skin colored and like of looks "cauliflowered". Will I have to get it removed with Nitrogen? because I've heard that hurts like hell....are there any other ways that you can get rid of them with out a whole lot of pain? I cant be in pain right now because I play college baseball and we are starting practice, therefore have to wear a cup. So any pain around that area would be a serious world of hurt every time I throw a pitch. Thanks in advance.

Getting Tested

First off, the college should have a clinic that you can go to for "free" there are health fees included in your tuition to cover you going there.Second, you girlfriend may have gotten her HPV shots, but there are over one hundred strains, and she was only vaccinated against 4 I believe. (The ones that are most likely to cause cancer). As far as removal of a wart, having them froze off seems to be the way to do it. It can be painful I suppose, but it shouldn't be so severe that you wouldn't be able to wear a cup. I don't know though, I have never had it done. However, my daughter had one removed from the top of her foot at around 8 and it never hindered her wearing shoes. So, I suppose, if it is a wart, you have 2 responsible choices, get it removed, and deal with a bit of an owwee, or stop having sex until you can "afford" the pain of removal.

All colleges that I know of have clinic for students. As I remember, and I may be wrong cause I never went, it was free and included as part of your tuition. At the very least, it should be extremely cheap for a student to use the services. If that is not an option and your in or near a large city your can probably find a free clinic. Most metropolitan areas have them.
