I love driving to Bob Dylan or any of Bowie’s old stuff, or belting along the M50 in the early hours listening to anything energetic (you know what I'm talkin about Bob!)
-
What’s your favourite driving music?
-
i have two songs i love to listen to in the car, Sweet home alabama and Never gonna get it by Sean Biggs
-
I dont think I know the second one, but I certainly know 'Sweet home Alabama' - that sounds like good American driving music! lol
-
funny thign is, I'm canadian...anyway, Never gonan get it is a song from the sound track of Take the lead, oen of my favorite movies
-
I'm sorry, lol, didnt know you were Canadian. Who's the singer/band?
-
In case you're interested in an old thread on the topic: Best type of music for crusing in a car?
-
Thanks for that Steve. It didnt really stay on topic, but sure around here what ever does? lol
-
On the topic? It is the topic!
-
No Steve, I'm saying the thread strayed off topic by discussing things other than driving music - end of.
-
Unless "driving" is a euphemism for something other than "cruising in a car".... Never mind.In the older version of this thread, I suggested the Ramones, Bach, and Irish and Andean folk music. I'd also like to add Rammstein, Motorhead, and maybe Metallica, if I'm in the mood. For a more pensive mood, perhaps REM or Midnight Oil. Then there's always Kraftwerk's "Autobahn", but you can listen to it only so many times.

Bachman Turner Overdrive, "Let it Ride"Jim Croce, "Down the Highway"There has to be more good driving stuff from Lynyrd Skynard, Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, etc.
-
Fleetwood Mac, what's wrong with me - how could I have forgotten them?
-
In particular, "The Chain".
-
of course, silly me, "rambling man" by the alman brothers
-
hmmm....tool, rammstein, scissor sisters, elton john, abba, in flames, pantera, trans siberian ochestra, a perfect circle, rage against the machine, system of a down, pearl jam, black label society, disturbed, korn, metallica, muse, alexisonfire, queen, him, staind, tea party, queens of the stone age, wolf mother, offspring, soundgarden, soilwork, dragonforce, soil... to name a few. lol. i could keep going, but yeah. you get the idea. much love XOx

'The Chain' is good definately, but the most energetic Fleetwood track I can think of is 'Go your own way'.. the most stylish way of telling someone to fuckoff ever recorded in my opinion, ha ha.But my personal favourite Fleetwood track for driving would be 'You make loving fun'; it reminds me of my bloke and I get a kick out of belting along listening to it and thinking of him.
