I have had an STD test both urine and blood for everything both have come up negative. With that said I have a small white spot on the head of my penis that is not raise, almost small ulcer looking. I delevoped a small red bloch on the left side of my scrotum. Even though the test was negative, I am such a hypochondriac that I am convinced that I have it so I purchased a few topical ointments, (Charapor, and H-balm) neither seem to do much. I do develop itching, that tends to stay around more days than ever go a way, the serverity of it seems to increase over the last few months. I have not had sexual contact for months because of my paranoia. Say that I do have herpes, I read that the severity and length of the out break is supposed to subside less over time and I seem to have mysterious marks and itching that seems to occur more days than not. Any comments with a negative STD test?

Genital herpes?

The best test for herpes is a culture of the sore. Also, they USUALLY don't run a blood test for herpes, unless you agressivly specify that you want it. (At least that is how it is around here). Go back to the doc, have a culture done. If it is herpes, everyone who has it, has different amounts of outbreaks, they have oral medication (Valtrex, for example) that helps limit the amount of outbreaks.

I have done plenty of research on the virus, that is the traditional way to test for it. Some herbal healers say they have the cure for with the "Prunella vulgaris" plant. Doubtful that, that is true, but with that said they said the only true way to test if you do not have the virus is through a blood test. Hence my confusion.

The BEST way to test if the sores you have are herpes, is to have the sores cultured. Period. Blood tests give false negatives. The virus lives in the nerves, and travels to the skin service to reproduce, spread, and then it retreats back up the nerve where it is basically "hidden" from the immune system. The do have medications that help, so a cure isn't unfathamable, but your right, not likely.
Unless your body has had a reason to fight the virus, it will not have the antibodies that are required for the blood test to be accurate. If your immune response is mild, it may not show up either.
The blood tests are costly, and fairly in accurate. That is why our clinic doesn't do the test. -
This sounds like either a pimple or a cyst. If it is slightly yellowish and raised then I would lean towards herpies. The red blotch on the left side of your scrotum could also be a pimple or a rash. Your best bet is to see your doctor.
