I have been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome or PCOS.....but i don't have any pain.......are the two conditions the same i wonder???? maybe not. I would say the first port of call for info would be her GP who should know her better than anyone and of course the condition.........as usual im no help at all huh LOL

I have also been diagnosed with PCOS and I have had some pain from it. I had sharp pain in my left side when I went to my doctor she did a pap. and she said it was a cyst and while she was doing the pap she had popped the cyst it hurt a lot more but about ten minutes later the pain went away and I havent felt it since... but PCOS is manageable. you might want to let her know that she should get checked for insolin resistance wich is similer to type 2 diabities and the medication for it usualy helps with the pcos.. insolin resistance and PCOS usually go hand in hand...
