Sorry, not off the top of my head -- but that's what I remember: the pacific (in particular California) is currently (and has been for a while) the lowest (which doesn’t mean of course that it was actually low in the 80s for example, just lower than anywhere else in the USA).If you can find some stats, I'd be more than happy to read them btw.

It is true, California has the lowest Circ rates in the USA. But my Sociology teach told us it was because of the mass amounts of immigrants who live there, especially from Latin America who do not circ in their countries normally! And compared to the rest of the ethnic populations, according to my teach, Hispanics of all races are having the most children in the USA compared to Whites and Blacks, along with Asians who are also having more children again. And Hispanics and most Asians don't circ their children unlike in the 80s I beleive she told us, when most of Hispanics and Asians got snipped too like the Whites. But whites in Cali are still having high circ rates like in the rest of the country. That is why only 60% of the total population got circed in the past years, who knows how it will go in the future!

What I read (and sorry Helms, I still don't remember the URL), the white rates are actually falling (pretty much everywhere over the States) and the "immigrants'" rates (think latino and asian now) are on the rise (providing a lesser effect though).
